| WWE Cyber Sunday 2008 *SPOILERS* | Closed |
| News is starting to emerge on the October PPV that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be making a special guest appearance in set of an anle that will potentially lead to a match at WM25 the Meltzer is reporting...
Here is the thread to discuss the WWE's dodgy phone vote PPV with lots of loaded matches which effectively direct which way we should vote...
No poster yet but it will be as soon as someone finds it...

| | Closed | getting austin to wrestle again at mania , in texas, would be huge box office. Even with his limitations Austin could still work a decent fifteen minute walk about brawl which is all he was doing toward the end anyway.
There would be a massive queue or workers who would want that spot though but my oney would be on Edge or Orton to secure it.

| | Closed | If Austin does make it to WM 25 (instead I'd like to see him enter into the HOF) I just hope this doesn't prove to be a mistake physically. Look at how stiff he was in The Condemned (and I don't mean his acting either). The fight scenes had no spark to them because he couldn't move too well.
You can bet that Hogan will be pressing to get that match because he needs the money and he'll want the glory for such a big money match too. Unfortunately, neither man is capable of having a decent match these days but just having them be a major focus of the show is one in the eye for the current stars.
Oh, and the Cyber Sunday gimmick needs to be dropped. It's one extra PPV that spoils the match build ups following on from No Mercy to Survivor Series and they are rarely any good anyway.

| | Closed | i agree cyber sunday was a fun one night concept but now needs to go away. A one night tag team tournament with fans picking the partners would be better and would help revitalise tag wrestling and make it interesting again to casual fans.
I doubt austin vs hogan will ever happen as there is no way either man would ever job to the other but i hold out hope that money may make it happen

| | Closed | And with the press that Hogan currently courts I doubt that the WWE would touch im with a bargepole... Anyway this Austins opponent at WM convo really needs to move to the WM thread please

| | Closed | Doesn't look official DM. CM Punks been stretched massively out of proportion and there s a distinct lack of WWE logos and the ever present "All superstars names and images remain copyright etc. etc. which they would never leave off in a million years. Shoddy fan work for them to use a non-title pic though!
**EDIT** On second look (at the Cyber Sunday logo) I think DM is responsible for the lack of proportion as the "circle" is an oval. But the other points stand.

| | Closed | It's probably just a quickly made promotional pic from some website and not the official poster.

| | Closed | Hows this for needing an anorak, I notice the lack of the Pepsi style tat on his shoulder. Considering he's had that for years this is certainly not an official poster.
**EDIT** On further research he had that done as his third tat in his teenage years, so I'm guessing it was airbrushed out of this pic for copyright reasons. (Which is stupid as they could easily just make him pose with it out of view!)
God I need a life!

| | Closed | Just to follow on from the above dissertation regarding Punk's Pepsi tattoo...
The website ProductPlacementNews.com featured a short piece on CM Punk's Pepsi tattoo and whether it was product placement. In actuality, he's had it for years and WWE airbrushes it off all the marketing materials Punk appears on since they don't have the rights to the logo.

| | Closed | Well the first two matches for Cyber Sunday were announced on RAW last night and they are...
Chris Jericho Vs Batista - We choose the Guest Referee from:
Randy Orton
Shawn Micheals
'Stone Cold' Steve Austin
Santino Marella Defends his IC title against either:
'Rowdy' Roddy Piper
Golddust
Honky Tonk Man
Now I'd say both votes are fairly obvious and Im glad they are brining honky into the IC Angle, but I think it would have been better for when/if Santino got to or was at the Honky Record Mark... Still.

| | Closed | Also the voting for Cyber Sunday can now only be done in the US and via mobile phone alone where the charge is $1 per text.
Kind of defeats the "Cyber" part of the PPV name doesn't it?
What's the betting they will still claim millions of votes despite the narrow field of voting methods....

| | Closed | Will people really vote for Rey vs kane for 2 out of 3 falls? What a silly stip! and No Holds barred/Falls count matches are basically the same without the pinning anywhere stipulation.Taker vs Show,i can see something like Casket match,Lastman standing or cage.

| | Closed | any chance of an additional stip for the jeff/Koslov vs triple h match being that we all know who is going to win anyway?. I would vote for the loser(s) to have to go back to wrestling school to learn how to assemble a match properly.
