It's nearly time!! Big Brother returns... I'm looking forward to this year. So please place your conversation about people events surrounding BB8 in here. Oh and I know there will be those of you who don't like it. But any kind of Big Brother is rubbish type of comments will be deleted.
So who reckons their the biggest BB fan on The Underground?? I know Barley is a bit of a fan but who else is there?
Its a show every time it comes back I swear Im not gonna watch the thing...then 2 weeks in Im up at 2am watching the bloody live feed!
Trouble is, I always get to wrapped up in it, I always end up thinking one conestant is entirely wonderful, and I always end up DETESTING at least one, usually several housemates.
I often end up supporting unpopular people with zero chance of winning, like Lisa last year, or Steph from a few series back...

Your the same as me then Glowlad! i loved lisa when she was her normal self and not being infulenced by those bully girls, and Steph was a lovely lass. I always like the good people in the show, the ones who dont tend to do much other then try and keep the peace, help others, tell the truth ect ect, i know its boring to watch them but they deserve to win far more then the freaks, the bullies, the slags ect.Just hope no more oriental people will go in this series, its a big fear of mine because i just cant imagine them being a part of such a show.
I dont actually watch the show regular Mib! Just sometimes when theres nothing else on and when i cant be bothered to watch dvds during this time, actually, my family love it so i have to watch it sometimes :(.
Do me a favour it's great. We are just honest enough to tell you we watch it. I used to be glued to it. But these days if I miss an episode I wouldn't be too worried. Although I do check in on the website regularly to make sure Ive not missed anything.
THe problem this week is that it clashes with The Apprentice (Why don't we have a thread on that?!?!) and I'm not sure which I'll watch and which I'll record.
So in conclusion be proud of your viewing of BB. And with less than a week to go lets countdown in style.
I enjoy BB on those ocassions when my opinion talliee with the Great British public, for instance I was very Pro-Shilpa, and so it was satisfying to see the right result to that saga.
However, normally I support also-ran housemates, which means I have blazing rows defending them against the mentalists on the official BB boards!
Benoit, yeah Steph was a good hearted lass, with nice eyes and a great body too! But most people prefered Nush, who I thought was a drip.
Then Lisa...she had her possesive, jealous side, but away from bad influences she was funny, loyal, caring. I actually thought Pete lead a few women on in the house...
I liked pete but i thought so to, he wasent very nice with Lisa i thought. Lisa was awesome, just a shame about all the other girls in last years show were awful.Steph was the best though, as you said, very beautiful, very sweet and nice person, i miss her ^^.Cant imagine the weirdos going into the show next week, but no doubt itll have the usual gay, bi, over the top characters as per usual, wouldnt be surprised to see twins in the show either.
I cant wait for this to start. Ive changed my shift at work so i can see what weirdo's will be going in. It takes me a few days to get into it but once i do i never miss it. Its sad really but i dont give a poop.
Apparently we've got three months of me avoiding Ch 4 and the papers wasting numerous pages on the antics of these vain, idiotic, self-obsessed, moronic, embarrassing dregs of humanity to not look forward to.
On an even more negative note, in the Australian version one of the contestant lost her father to cancer last week yet she hasn't been told because of the rules of the show excluding the from the outside world. Poor cow. I imagine her exit interview will be painful TV if it airs...
I have watched the occasional episode of Big Brother but I really don't like it. For me it was the beginning of what is wrong with TV today.
I think MIB's previous comment about Australian big brother and the contestant whos father has died just adds to that disgust I have for these reality programs.
I will obviously not be watching this season of big brother, the annyoing thing is that I usually turn on channel 4 in the morning while I am getting ready and watch 'Everybody loves Raymond' but when big brother starts it replaces that.
MiB that ia a bit sick - she should be told about that. Plus it could pursuade the vote coz everyone will feel sorry for her.
Hey, don't shoot the messenger...
Anyway, in the paper today they said her brother posted a message on the Oz BB website and said that the family supported her not being told and that she knew her father was ill going into the show. The mind boggles...
Well tonights the night and in a piece of good news (Well I think so anyway) Chris Moyles is to be one of the hosts of BB Big Mouth. Better than that tool Brand anyway. I may just watch it again.
I wonder if TWCF's Mattitudeuk is going to be there?
This is the same guy who made a joke about Eddie Guerrero's death 24 hours after it happened. Moyles is a fat useless tosser and deserves nothing less than slow and painful execution.
When he do that I never heard that and I listen everyday.
BTW the housemates are great this is looking like a good year and ity the poor sod going in on Friday. Any early winners? Whewn I figure out whose who I'll put mine in.
And after receiving a barrage of complaints this apology was sent out:
Rhys Hughes the Executive Producer at BBC Radio 1 had the following to say:
"I apologise for the rather crass and insensitive comments Chris Moyles made on the Radio 1 breakfast show concerning the death of Eddie Guerrero.
I accept that Chris over-stepped the mark making a joke about 'carrying the coffin' as well as illustrating his ignorance about the circumstances of the wrestler's death. In Chris' defence he also said 'it is sad' and 'our thoughts and prayers go out to his family'.
I have subsequently spoken to the team and impressed on them that these comments were not only insensitive but also offensive. The whole team accept that they were in the wrong.
May I take this opportunity to once again apologise for any offence or distress we may have caused."
Bottom Line: he's a ****! (and yes I did mean that word!)
Watched it...Ill not miss the malw element as men usually ruin the series..'
Nicky is the only one I find fanciable...if I was gonna have to pick a potential from this lot...maybe that Welsh lass who reminds me of Dafyd in Little Britain.
Maybe. But then you could say the same of Vince for milking the whole Eddie thing also.
Oh I do! And I did!
Anyway back tot he task in hand and BB. So did anyone watch last night?
Ah damn, I missed it.... I saw the girls in the paper today - usual bunch of wannabe losers from what I could see. And the hippy one with pink hair isn't really a woman surely?
Contestant Emily Parr was removed from the Big Brother House in the early hours of this morning after using a racially offensive word to a fellow housemate.
Emily was with Charley and Nicky in the garden of the Big Brother House at approximately 8.30pm last night when she was heard to say "Are you pushing it out you ******?" to Charley.
Emily immediately made clear that she had not intended to offend and that the comment had been meant as a joke. In discussing what she had said, Charley and Nicky agreed that they were not personally offended, although both did express shock at the language she had used. In the ensuing discussion, Emily acknowledged that she should have been more careful with her words.
The comment was not screened as part of the 'as live' streaming on E4 and was immediately reported up to senior production staff at Brighter Pictures, the Endemol UK subsidiary that produces the show. In consultation with senior executives at Channel 4 the decision was taken to remove Emily from the House on the grounds that she had broken the rules governing contestant behaviour.
The House Rules given to all contestants clearly state:
Big Brother will intervene and take appropriate action if housemates behave in a way that Big Brother considers is unacceptable. Unacceptable behaviour includes: behaving in a way that could cause serious offence to either their fellow housemates or members of the viewing public including serious offence based on the grounds of race. Housemates who act in a way that is seriously unacceptable will be evicted.
Emily was called to the Diary Room at approximately 03.30am to be informed of the decision and was removed from the House immediately without further contact with other contestants. The remaining housemates were informed of Big Brother's decision at approximately 9.30am.
Emily was one of two housemates nominated for eviction this week and as a result the latest eviction vote has been suspended.
Angela Jain, who heads the Big Brother commissioning team at Channel 4, said: "I think people watching the show tonight will agree that Emily spoke carelessly rather than maliciously - certainly Charley and Nicky, the two housemates most directly involved in the conversation with her, seem to accept that she did. She understands why her involvement in Big Brother has had to come an end and she very much regrets what she said."
"In the wake of Celebrity Big Brother we must consider the potential offence to viewers regardless of Emily's intentions and her housemates' response. The word ****** is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use. We have removed Emily from the house to once again make it clear to all housemates and the viewers at home that such behaviour won't be tolerated." I say this because I find the use of blasphemy offensive so if I was in there would they remove someone for saying it then? While the term she used was offensive is this just not a reactionary thing to do? If no-one heard it on live stream then no-one would have known. Then they compound the issue by printing exactly what she said in this statement....
Anyway enjoying it so far, but I don't see a winner yet.
Blashpemy is different because it is a subjective thing and religion is something arrived at by choice, one's colour or race isn't, therefore a racial slur is far more offensive and damaging than what one individual may consider blashphemy.
In this instance it's Ch4 just trying to save their arses after the Shilpa Shetty incident.
The sooner they dump this malodorous turd of a show completely the better frankly.
I bet C4 were happy it happened because they could then be seen to take action which they didn't do in the other series of big brother where the racism happened.
Lets start a conspiracy theory that they actually put her in there with the prior knowledge that she would make that comment, even more they maybe even arranged to reward her for making such a comment on the show so they could be seen to be taking action and make up for their earlier mistakes.
Not intrested in the show at all, not one person is really likeable in the house from what iv seen. No wonder i yearn for Japanese tv, its full of class, quality and cute, innocent fun unlike what we have in this country with the likes of Big Brother and other reality tv shows, not to mention rubbish like eastenders.
Benoit101 wrote:No wonder i yearn for Japanese tv, its full of class, quality and cute, innocent fun
With shows like Endurance where people are made to suffer for the enjoyment of others? Or The Virgin Show where desperate young girls compete to pop their cherry on TV?
Sorry dude but Japanese TV can be just as vulgar and tacky as ours but in a different and sometimes more extreme form. It's the same the world over I'm afraid...
None of them are really all the likeable for me Glowlad, the Welshgirl seems sweet, and Ziggy seems a pretty decent guy but the rest are unbelivably awful.Quite ashamed that Charley is the cousin of Keiron Richardson, but then from what i heard, he is also a very selfish, arrogant nonce as well, so it must run in the family,I wish hed leave my beloved Man United!
sorry about that Glowlad (Arigatou for the nice words btw!) ^-^ but iv been a united fan since i was 8 so cant change now! But i respect your club a lot glowlad so i like your team to (i cant stand the fans in our country that wish death and inflict violence on rivals, when its only a game of football). But i would admit a lot of my players are quite arrogant (giggs isnt though, i met him one time and hes a great guy) but you could say the same about most footballers really!
Back on topic, Lesley left which isnt a big loss, she is far to mature and intelligent to be stuck in that house, the girls are as usual, awful and have no respect for anyone, and...thats it really.Just a whole lot of nothing!
The bookies are making jonathan fav to go. personally I'd like to se Seany go. How Charlie and Nicky avoided being up I'll never know. Maybe next week. Still the twins to win!!
I've started watching this now. Mainly for this bit of the forum, some very lovely looking girls in there. Also last night for those of you who don't know Liam one of the new guys won 100,000 pound for doing nothing
Big Brother contestant Liam McGough was picked to win £100,000 by three housemates who are nominated for eviction on Friday. All the housemates were shown the money before Jonathan Durden, Carole Vincent and Seany O'Kane were told they had one minute to pick a winner.
Liam, 22, burst into tears when he heard he had won.
The housemates believe that Liam's £100,000 has replaced the prize given to the series winner.
But host Davina McCall made it clear to viewers that the money is in addition to the show's final prize.
The three nominees were not eligible for Wednesday's surprise cash gift.
'Best man'
Liam was the only one all three could quickly agree on within the one-minute time frame.
Carole broke the news to Liam and the rest of the housemates.
He was visibly stunned as the other contestants crowded round to congratulate him.
"You do what you want with that money," Charley told him.
Jonathan explained to Liam why he had been picked.
"You're the truest, strongest, best man we've got. You're a proper, honest man. We all agreed in ten seconds", he said.
Jonathan, 49, is favourite to be booted out of the Big Brother house on Friday's eviction show.
Not bad just for being 'nice' I would like to see Jonathan go on Friday he bores me.
Hilarious, Billi (The Next Evictee hopefully) and Charley have been sent to the secret 'Happy Room' there they are being tortured with If your happy and you know it...
This weeks evictees, Billi, Carloe and the Man beast Tracey. Billi is the bookies fav to go.
Forgive me but I noticed that fat woman has been up for eviction for the past three weeks. Should she not be getting some sort of message from the others by now?
Yeah she winds them up becuase she tends to mother them all and all she wants to do is clean up or rather get them to clean up.
Also, first Jonathan now Ziggy...
Ziggy stirred this morning as he and Chanelle slept on the sofa in the Living Room, away from the other housemates in the bedroom.
Perhaps tellingly they were sleeping top-to-toe.
In the early hours of this morning a tormented Ziggy had entered the Diary Room.
"I'd like to put a request to leave in, please," he informed Big Brother.
Last night Charley had branded 26-year-old Ziggy a "pervert" for having a relationship with 19-year-old Chanelle.
"Someone's very, very young and using words which they don't really know the meaning of. Words that could be detrimental to somebody," explained Ziggy.
Big Brother asked Ziggy to clearly explain his feelings.
"If my parents heard that I was a pervert they'd be distraught," he said. "They know me well enough to know [otherwise] but..." he said trailing off. "I think it's someone who's very young who has no idea what she's saying," he sighed.
"It's Charley man, she uses words and doesn't know what they mean," he explained, "she called me a pervert. She's called me it once so God knows what she'll call me again."
Big Brother asked if any of the other housemates had accused him of being a pervert.
"Never, never, never. No-one has ever done that before in my life. I've never been called anything close to it," he said "and it's so far from the truth it's disgusting."
"Do you think you might feel better tomorrow?" asked Big Brother.
"I don't think so," he said, "no."
Will Ziggy wake up with a brighter point of view this morning?
I managed to catch it last night and Charley who by all accounts doged the eviction bullet by a very dubious BB decision, is an absolute nightmare. Seriously She needs to go.
Well in todays exciting news from the house as reported byt he channel 4 website, Ziggy trod on Luaras foot. Wow what an exciting time they are having. Billis going tonight.
