Movie twists...*MOVIE SPOILERS*

These days a thriller hardly seems complete without a twist, but which are your fave movie twists, and which do you think are obvious and over-rated?

I like the Usual Suspects even though I half saw it coming, I think it really well done, a great scene where everything comes together.

The lesser known 'Identity' is one where I didnt guess the twist and its a fun ride.

Overrated, I like The Sixth Sense but thought the supposed shock twist was obvious...and The Village had a twist anyone who has seen 2 minutes of any Twilight Zone episode, would have seen coming a mile off.

Couldn't stand the sixth sense or any other so called films form Shalyman ugghh how dull. The twists in all of his films are glaringly obvious. I'd figured out the twist in Unbreakable from the trailer....

Also the Others was fairly easy to work out too. Once you've seen the Sixth Sense anyway..

The best film for a shock twist of recent years has to be Fight Club. I remeber running the film on a pre rehersal (In my projectionist days) and just sitting there with my mouth open completely shocked. Absolutely Brilliant. Another that was quite good. Identity starring Robert Downey Jr.

The problem recently has been that they publicize the fact there is a big Shock twist and then you spend the whole film looking for it.

Asian cinema is good for twists.

Old Boy
is full of cool twists to keep you guessing. The one major one near the end was a shocker to me but some people claim they sussed it early. Same for A Tale Of Two Sisters. That was a neat twist too.

I also liked the twist at the end of Save The Green Planet but they spoiled it by running it too long in my opinion.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who found Sixth Sense dull. After all the hype and rave reviews it got I can't recall being so disappointed in a film. Neat twist though but kind of obvious when you think about it.

Was going to mention those 3 asian films myself to Mib, Oldboy is terrific if not a bit predictable
after a while.Another twist i never thought about was in the live action prince of tennis film with the girl being the sister of the main bad guy.

The one in Usual Suspects is ridiculously overrated. Saw it coming a mile off. Lucky Number Slevin's twist is really well done though.

I must say, i'm not keen on films that are built around a big twist because once you've seen it, it's not as good the second time.

I remember enjoying A Tale of Two Sisters, my memory of the ending is hazy...it turned out that the other sister had died sometime before, and that the girl was crazy? Something like that!

i enjoyed the tale of 2 sisters ending as well Glowlad. Another one which had quite a nasty twist at the end of the film was Red shoes (i think it was red shoes, could be another korean horror film),i remember a twist but cant remember but what it was right now! But it certainly freaked me out when i watched that.
