Looks like a live action flick of the brilliant thundercats is in the works, personally,i cant wait,i loved the show when i was a kid and i would often attack my sisters with the sword and had my own little lion'o costume! Anyone else a fan and would like to see it on the big screen? I would have preferred an animation version, CGI more so, since most live action movies of animations end up a right mess, The Flintstones and the original He-man movie were really quite awful.Ving Rhames would be perfect as panthro, but couldnt be sure about other members of the group maybe uma thurman as cheetarah? I look forward to seeing this, if it indeed is being made, cant say the same about the he man movie though.
If it is being made, it should prove interesting, i wonder if it is all live action, or live action and CGI, the latter will probable prove cheaper and better looking. Either way sounds like a fun movie to me.
How dare you blot the perfection that was Dolup Lungdrens crowning moment (Other than Mr.Drago) that was a fine fine film, even if it did the give the world Courtney Cox...
lol, it was a 90 minute exersise in Gay Pride. since when did He-Man use M16 rifles? it was insane. It'd be intrersting to see who plays He-Man in the re-make.
lol, he best get himself some flour to white himself up some. he's got the charisma and the physique to play he-man he's a bit too samoan to play the Nazi poster boy that is Adam of Greyskull.
Symphony Of Destruction wrote:They should get Triple H in as He-Man though, he can act
I take it you didn't see Blade Trinity then....
I guess Thundercats was a little after my time because I don't recall watching it at all. However, one of the characters looks a lot like Merle the cat girl from the Anime Vision Of Escaflowne.
If this is to be a live action flick then I assume they'll be after the same prosthetic make up from the remake of Planet Of The Apes for some sort of credible authenticity to the wild cat faces.
Anyone have a clue about this poster? Its probably a fake but it looks kind cool, espicially Cheetarah and Panthro but man does Lion-o suck there! Anyway this flick is going to be CGI so i guess that elimanates this and it being live action.Cant wait, this was my childhood cartoon ^-^ many fond memories of it.
Looks like fan art to me, it would be far more stylised if it were the actual poster. I don't think they have a completed script yet, so casting wouldn't have even been thought about. What with this and Greyskull: MotU looks like Mattel are in for a bumper few years.
Some casting news for this finally from I watch stuff
Tyrese Gibson has revealed that he's in talks to join ThunderCats, a CGI movie based on your lunchbox from 1987. From ComingSoon:
Tyrese said that he's been very involved in the attempt to bring the classic '80s cartoon series to the big screen and seemed to hint that a deal is very nearly complete. We asked him what character he'd be playing and he just smiled and said that there's a number of options on the table.
It's not racist to say he'll probably be playing Panthro, right? Because he'd definitely be Panthro, the ThunderCat who would be black if he didn't have blue skin instead.
