August will see the return of yet another threequel, Rush Hour 3. Here's the thread to talk about your likes, dislikes about the Jackie Chan franchise.
Just had a look at the cast list and this film is set in France is about triad gangs (who of course are Chinese) so typical Hollywood have cast Japanese actors in the film to fill the roles! Didn't Jackie Chan have any say in this?
This was truly terrible. I liked the first one it was fun and Tucker was bearable. The second was OK and i could cope with Tucker. This one is rubbish and Tucker is the big failure of this movie. Hopefully he won't sink Chans career with this utter nonsense. When the end credit bloopers are the only laugh the film gets you know it's time to quit.
This film has had mixed reviews so far. Some love it, some hate.
That's the problem with sequels, the ideas start to run dry when the basic concept cannot be stretched too far. Jackie Chan will survive this because he is a legend but no-one had heard of Chris Tucker and his pre-pubescent girly voice before these films so he'll hopefully bugger off back to the ghetto with all the other no talent black posers.
Not a huge fan of any of the movies but there are some funny moments in the first 2 films so im sure this one is quite fun to,but its not the best work by jackie who should stick to doing quality like new police story then his poor efforts like the Tuxedo,Rush hour, the medallion ect ect.Chris Tucker is annoying as hell i admit, i cant stand the dude.
