OK so the first one to discuss is should Bruce Willis be in the Hall?
Bruce Willis came from the TV Show Moonlighting and was in some intresting comedy type flicks Blind Date with Kim Basinger and Sunset before hitting Paydirt with Die Hard. He then did love them or hate thems look Whose Talking and Hudson Hawk and then got into his action movie groove with:
Die Hard Sequels, Mercury Rising, The Jackal, Pulp Fiction, Billy Bathgate, Armageddon, The Seige, Bandits, Sin City, Tears of the Sun, 16 Blocks and thats outside al the other stuff he has done.
The only blips could be Unbreakable, The Colour of Night and for me the Sixth Sense.
But I feel he should go in there for Die Hard alone. Comments for and against below please.
Bruce Willis is pretty decent, not the best action hero for me but quite cool,i am not a fan of Die Hard so i dont really enjoy those films however i like Unbreakable which is a very good film and the Sixth Sense to.My faverate Bruce Willis movie is the fifth elemant.
Can I ask, would Bruce Willis have been under consideration of he didn't have a film out at the moment?
To be honest I've never seen him as an "action hero" or a top line A list actor for that matter. Whist I enjoyed Die Hard 1 & 2 (not seen the third), he did kind of luck into the "action" scene after his comedies started to wane and he was basically jumping on the Stallone/Arnie bandwagon. he made a good fist of it but I've just found him fairly limited in what he can do.
Personally, I see him as an HOF candidate like some of the WWE HOF inductees who only get in because they've been around for a long time and are still alive.
I have to agree with MiB here. Eventhough Die Hard is one of my favourite moveis ever and With a Vengence is not far behind, aside from that, he's not really done much to get in the Hall of Fame, so to speak. That said, he was great in that episode of Miami Vice so that'd help get him a nod.
Sin City The Whole Ten Yards and The Whole Nine Yards Hart's War Unbreakable The Sixth Sense The Siege The Fifth Element Armageddon Mercury Rising Last Man Standing Twelve Monkeys Pulp Fiction Hudson Hawk and of course all the Die Hard Movies...
personaly i find the die hard films alittle over rated. they are good but i dont find them essencial viewing myself. the second was the weakest of the set for me personaly, mainly due to them trying to make the character a little to "in your face" i suppose, with whats said and what not. its proabably just me though
