Unless they don't blow it on RAW, the main event for this PPV would appear to be Cena vs Orton in a Last Man Standing match.

Is Orton ever going to win this title or is HHH gonna sneak in before the Rumble and nab it? Or maybe they are waiting for Kennedy tog et back from suspension? What ever, I'm fast becoming bored with this fued

EDIT - Latest update confirmed matches

- John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a last man standing match has been announced for the 10/7 No Mercy PPV.

- Speaking of No Mercy, there is talk of Batista defending the World title against The Undertaker, and an Unforgiven PPV rematch pitting Women's champion Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix.

Oh how exciting.....

The Great Khali's translator, Ranjin Singh, has informed WWE.com that the big man will exercise his rematch clause at No Mercy. It will be World Heavyweight Champion Batista vs. Khali in a Punjabi Prison Match.

NOT.

In other latest matches announced by wwe.com for No Mercy HHH will take on Umaga... Wow what an exciting card.  I've also, just realised this is in just 2 weeks.... Woah PPV overload.

That was part of the reason why Unforgiven died a death - they had no time to hype it properly. Or rather they spent too much time on the McChild angle to bother with the PPV.

And now it looks like they are repeating themselves with this PPV.

Triple H will bury Umaga sadly, and the Giant Khali vs Badtista is bad enough in a singles match, a Punjabi prison match is going to be worse, remember that awful encounter with taker and big show? they could barely do anything in that match.

Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay has been officially confirmed to the event. That could be intresting. Also, I think I may have to Box Office this just for SAVE_US.222 reveal. They've done a good marketing hjob there. Plus I want to see Jericho's return and see who he goes after... (Cena perhaps?)

Beth Phoenix Vs. Candice has now been added to No Mercy too. Hopefully Beth will get the win this time.

This could be the beginning of the set up for Undertakers 'retirement' match at WM. They has been rumours for ages that Kane would be the one to take the Undertakers winning streak. The Brothers of Destruction would at least liven the Tag scene up a bit on SD!

Also, after last nights ECW results I believe we are going to get CM Punk Vs. Big Daddy V. Joy.doh

ahhh  doesn't it look lonely now...

OK predictions time...

* Batista v. Khali (Punjabi Prison) - In what is probably down for worst match of the year possibly ever will end with DAVE retaining

* WWE title match - After some more SAVE_US Shenanigans and Randy in the middle of the ring about to be awrdedthe title, Mr.Jericho will make his triumphant return slating Orton in the process and winning the title.

* Punk v. Big Daddy V - Please let CM Punk retain. I don't think I could handle Mabael AND Dave as champs...

* HHH v. Umaga - HHH goes on the squash match offensive

* Mysterio v. Finlay - The only really intreting match on the card will end with a DQ win for Rey

* Candice v. Beth - hopefully this time Beth takes the title.

*MVP & M.Hardy Vs. Kane & Undertaker - I fully expect the brothers of destruction totake this in leading upto their final match at WM with Undi dropping his win streak to his 'brother'

Don't get too excited. It does say "a possibility" and not a probability or a definite.

But I would mark out like a little girl if it does happen that way. biggrin.gif

Well, not great PPV really was it... Some news off the back of the PPV.

- The decision was made not to bring back Chris Jericho at No Mercy because the company felt it was too soon.

- Raw head writer Brian Gewirtz was in favor on Jericho appearing at No Mercy, but Vince McMahon was said to be totally against it.

- Apparently the plan was for Randy Orton to win the WWE title at No Mercy had he faced John Cena.

I guess having Bionic H come out as the first challenger shouldn't have been too much of a surprise. But to have him go two more matches was a bit much. of course they set it up so that Umaga "softened" H up so he would be easy prey for Orton later. And lest we forget the important part - H didn't have to lay down to drop the title back to Orton. What a genius!

Also the WWE tradition of burying the home town hero is still alive with Punk's match going a whole 96 seconds before Big Booby V beat him up. This should have been on ECW TV and not PPV.

The less said about the pizza eating contest the better.

Finally we had the Finlay angle which also should have been on SD and not PPV.

Basically it felt ore like a 2hr 55 minute episode of RAW.

One of the most self serving PPVs I have ever seen. Boy isn`t Tripper brave? doesn`t he hasve the heart of a champion? JR rolled out all the hyperbolic shite and Trips singlehandedly ruined the show. Where the hell were Taker,Kane and why wan`t Matt or MVP wrestling? why was there no tag title or US title match? It really proves when plan A fails WWE don`t have a monkeys nutsack of an idea what to do next.

They coul;d have at least had a mini battle royale and produced a number 1 contender (Which would have been HHH anyway) But once again I don't know why we all get surprised when they do this.. They had the chance to elevate someone new even if they didn't win against Orton.

They announced on SD! that the title match for the Tag titles was happening on SD! this week.

It once again smacks of its not how you do but who you are and who youre mates with.

For me the most memorable thing of the whole evening were the deafening chants of Y2J,Y2J right at the start.

Oh not forgetting punk`s incredible sell job after his "match".

To be fair, the WWE's thinking was probably that Bionic H is the no 2 babyface behind Cena so having him win the belt first gets the feel good pop which also saw Orton screwed out of holding the title he was just given instead of a title he won. Then the H was weakened by Umaga after being forced into a 2nd title match before being forced into a third match in which he lost to Orton again making him the heel for beating such a popular wrestler as Bionic H.

But the WWE overlooked one tiny factor: everyone knows that Bionic H is part of the family thus he has the stroke to put himself over anyone he likes so even if he did end up losing the title again, it simply reeked of him taking a spot that could have been used to elevate someone else.

Sadly there IS no-one else because creative haven;t found that right person because they are too busy wasting time on Bionic H and the McEgo family instead!

And Joey Styles and Tazz must have felt great being flown all the way to Chicago just to call a 96 second match. Oh wait...Tazz got to host the Pizza contest. Lucky him.

Rant over because I'm more looking forward to getting the results of today's New Japan show with the rubber match between Yuji Nagata vs Hiroshi Tanahashi for the IWGP title.

Some more news, the second one's just for you Joe....

- We received reports that WWE officials were confiscating Chris Jericho banners last night at the No Mercy PPV.

- When the No Mercy PPV ended, Triple H remained in the arena and soaked up the cheers before leaving
