So who could it be. Now Mr.Kennedy has ruled himself out because of the drugs thingy, who is it likely to be? The lawyer on this weeks RAW drops the hint... 'the sky is the limit' So who could that lead to?
D'Lo Brown? He's apparently in line for a return. I know they wouldn't do it but how about HBK, now that would be a shocker... (I know the age thing wouldn't work)
Hornswoggle? He truly is a Little B'stard. What a load of rubbish, oh I can see the hilarity of it all now. At least Sandman would have been an intresting choice.
I know. they teased Bionic H which while again meant no-one new got elevated by this angle, it would have been interesting to see how they handle the whole marriage to Steph thing.
Rumours abound that this Hornswoggle revelation is a stall until Kennedy serves his suspension. Probably a Triple h or DX prank on poor ol` Vince that way Hornswoggle, Kennedy and of course Trips all get a much needed push!
I dunno I can forsee plenty of 'Hilarious' Skits involving, HS, Vince, Steph, Shane and Linda for sure... They'll be milking this one for a while me thinks. Depends if they are still determined to have a HHH Kennedy Main event at Wrestlemania in which case one of the two will win the belt at the Rumble and the other will win the rumble itself.
Not so sure about that one. How much can they honestly expect to get out of this after the initial gag of Vince`s grapefruits siring a midget play out? In reality this angle(as all wrestling angles should be) was designed to elevate a potential star.Hornswoggle is not a potential star he is comedic relief. I am in doubt it will provide some light entertainment over the next few weeks but there is no real long term benefit to the company by running with the hornswoggle scenario, that is why I am convinced this is just a stall.
AS we all know though the WWE are very bad at elevating new stars which is why they repeatedly find themselves recycling old feuds and people like HBK, Flair, Batista and HHH are always in the main event picture.
There is potential in so many mid carders that they could raise up with a bit of effort, but it's unlikely.
For the company to continue to grow new "stars" have to be created. You`re right when you say there is a lot of potential in the mid card for future main eventers ie Kennedy, MVP, Matt Hardy. But the onus is not just on WWE to give these guys a push it`s also on said individuals to do help themselves when the push comes. Looking back guys like Austin and the Rock got a push from WWE no doubt but they acheived super babyface status through their own charisma and attitude. At the moment the only one I can see as a midcarder who could become a world champion soon is MVP, who is just the highlight os Smackdown everyweek now.
I'd say MVP and Hardy. Hardy's cropwd pops are huge as much as some of the main event stars, for some reason he has the 'it' quality but because of his priors with Edge, hedoesn't get that glass celing push. MVP needs a few more months but sure he's right up there. Also, Finlay when he gets back form injury could carry it.
All 3 of those guys are levels better than Khali, Batista and Rey Rey. Heck, Id prefer it if they brought back JBL and I detested him as a inring performer.
I would love nothing more than to see Matt Hardy lift the world title, the only problem Hardy has recently has been in his mike work where MVP has had to pretty much carry him. I agree with you about MVP needing more time he definetly does, one of WWE`s biggest problems has always been their impatience in pushing stars before they are ready. That`s probably one of ther reasons Cena attracts as much hostility as he does. As for Finlay; Nope sorry he will never be world champion, Finlay`s job is to designed to help out guys who need a push, to create entertaining matches with difficult opponents and to generaly be a good "old hand" to other wrestlers. I can Never see him lifting the world title(altough he would do a far better job than Khali).
I don't have a problem with Matt's mic skills and the fans are already behind him so the emotional connection is there. However, he is always the "underdog" guy or the "people's champ" so he doesn't really need a belt despite being more over and deserving than many. And politically he won't make it to the top either so he'll just be kept as a "good hand" mid carder.
If what went down on RAW last night is any indicator of where this Hornswoggle angle is going then I think we can call it a failure right now. Just mind numbingly stupid and dreadful.
ahem I dunno I can forsee plenty of 'Hilarious' Skits involving, HS, Vince, Steph, Shane and Linda for sure... They'll be milking this one for a while me thinks.
