Well here's the official thread there's been some crappy Edge poster fakes, but here's the actual poster featuring Edge It's another goody too. All Survivor Series related chat in here please.
Survivor Series has always been one of my faverate PPVs of the year so looking forward to it.Having Edge back would be a big boost for Vince, so it would be cool to see him return though im still hoping Jericho will return back, but this Save Us stuff is getting boring now.
Typical WWE, taking what was possibly one of their best angles in an age and they go and draw it out overplay it and mess it up. *Sigh* some things never change...
Go to agree with all the negativity surrounding the save us promos. Everyone knows it gonna be Jericho but the WWE are still trying to draw it out as long as possible and the end result is apathy from the fans. I was so peeved off at Raw the other night when Y2J did not show up. This is not the WWE being clever with promos anymore this is WWE irritating their fanbase
Who came up with that crap?!?!? Serious? Any money Horswoggle wins.
Also, the first Survivor match got announced.
The first Survivor Series elimination match has been announced on WWE.COM as the team of Triple H, Rey Mysterio, Kane, Matt and Jeff Hardy take on Umaga, Big Daddy V, Fit Finlay, MVP and Mr Kennedy. That however should be a good match.
What Id give for the WWE to revist the Joshi survivor series match from yesteryear...but this time totally commit to it and give it the time it deserves.
Chances of it happening are zero as the women of Joshi would really show up many of the WWE wrestlers, male or female.
Survivor series was one of my faves too...back in the day there were only a handful of PPV's and the big stars seldom wrestled each other outsidecthese events. Nowdays we see people taking each other on umpteen times on Raw and Smackdown, and there are so many PPV events they have lost that big event feel.
The problem is they have concentrated on only a ahndful of wrestlers going into the event. Yet with the brand split they have a mass of under used wrestlers and this would be a perfect opportunity to give them all a run out in several survivor matches to see who the crod react to thus giving them an idea of potential superstars.
A cruiser survivor match would be good to get the wheels back on the belt. Especially with the release of the Rey DVD it could capture the moment...
I know it won't happen but you could have several fueds competitiors as captains and have them build teams. It so simple it's stupid. But this is the WWE i suppose.
Here's hoping Save_Us.222 finally gets revealed. I mean they could have even had a Save_us.222 team... (Included Ralphus, Gillberg etc.)
There goes CM Punk's Title Reign then.... ECW Title match announced:
from wwe.com:
After the world witnessed the hat trick that altered the fate of No. 1 contender John Morrison on ECW on Sci Fi, General Manager Armando Estrada made an executive decision almost overnight regarding the ECW Title and Survivor Series. Following the conclusion of the ECW Championship Match (and the ensuing brawl), Estrada has announced that CM Punk will face both Miz and Morrison in a Triple Threat Match, live on pay-per-view.
In the past two weeks, the Straightedge Champion has battled the self-proclaimed chick magnet and the Shaman of Sexy in singles competition with the gold at stake. Though he secured victories against both cunning individuals on these occasions, Punks reign is at a greater risk in a match where he doesnt even need to be pinned to lose the gold. The first fall counts for the title even if either Miz or Morrison manages to pin the other.
If Punk can capitalize on the vile animosity that the Tuesday Night Delight and ECWs ultimate ladies man share, the ECW Champion could bank another victory in the American Airlines Arena. Might the Straightedge Superstar end up being thankful for his challengers hatred for one another? Or, will The Miz and Morrisons slew of individual downfalls propel one of them toward the ECW Title?
Find out as the 21st annual Survivor Series comes to you live from Miami, Fla., on Nov. 18.
Some people seriously know how to take the piss....
WWE.com is currently running a poll asking fans which Survivor Series match they are looking forward to the most. As of this post Great Khali vs Hornswoggle is actually winning the poll with 37.19%.
On a more serious note after watching Raw last night I am now convinced that the Orton/HBK match will have a similar ending to a certain other match from survivor series past. The way Vince and Shawn were sniffing around the subject during the face off tells me they are both itching to do some take on the most infamous angle in wrestling history. Also with the stips set up the way they are the stage is set.........................
WTF? That Straightedge crap with CM Punk is retarded. A lot of people don't drink, smoke, or do drugs.. He's not the only one ever. It's kind of funny, though. By them calling him "Straightedge" and not saying that about anyone else, they are kind of implying that every other wrestler does these things. Did anyone else pick that vibe up?
As for the traditional Survivor Series match, how did they come up with that? Was it a random draw or somehting? I can see no affiliation between any of those guys. Kind of retarded, if you ask me.

David, do you follow any wrestling outside of WWE? CM Punk has been doing the "Straight Edge" gimmick for years on the Indie circuit and in ROH. The line is "Straight Edge means I'm better than you". It's not a WWE thing but his own commentary on how many wrestlers do steroids and like to drink and dabble in drugs in contrast to his own clean lifestyle. And it got him over as a heel in his big multi-promotion feud with Raven (who I assume is the opposite).
And the Elimination match is what they always used to do: combine a number of feuds into one match. To wit:
Bionic H vs Umaga, Matt Hardy vs MVP, Jeff Hardy vs Mr. Kennedy, Rey Mysterio vs Finlay and Kane vs Big Daddy V.
What's retarded about that? Maybe you should watch the shows before passing comment.
OK, I admit that I don't watch much wrestling (even WWE, as you can tell). I like TNA more than WWE, but that's beside the point.
As far as CM Punk goes, I get it now. I blamed the gimmick on WWE, but he is really the one to fault. But still, why would they let him reflect every other wrestler so negatively? I just don't get that.
As far as the elimination match goes, I haven't been following the feuds, but now I get it. But isn't there usually a tag team on at least one of the teams? As far as I know, none of these wrestlers are tag teams. I thought I heard about Matt Hardy and MVP being teammates, but they are obviously now feuding, becuase they are on opposite teams.

The CM Punk thing is a gimmick. Don't take it too seriously. Like I said, it was a heat getter for him as a heel because the "archetypal" wrestling fan likes their beer and possibly weed too so Punk was saying he is better then them. Ans of course, by extension of that he could rag on the wrestlers too but it was more a way to get under the fans' skin. The fact that he is like that in real life was a bonus.
Elimination matches haven't always had tag teams. Most of them in the early days were made of singles wrestlers and the tag teams had their own match until the roster thinned out about around 1989.
This year Matt Hardy & MVP have been WWE tag champs but at the SD tapings last night they dropped the belts to Miz & John Morrison and MVP "turned" on Matt - despite the fact Matt never trusted MVP anyway. And even if they hadn't split up, they are still playing the face and a heel roll so having them oppose each other is natural.
You really need to watch the shows to get what is going down or at least read the TV recaps and spoilers on the web. It will give my fingers a rest from having to type it all out anyway!
What happened to Matt Hardy & MVP? According to the results I read they were nowhere to be seen...? SO they are finally setting up Edge Vs. Taker then.
Matt Hardy was a no show because of the attack on his knee by MVP on SD last week putting Team Bionic H at a 4 on 5 disadvantage. MVP was there and was heavily booed (for once) and was finally eliminated by Jeff Hardy
Finlay might be up for a face turn as he attacked Khali for the DQ and got a reasonable pop for it.
HBK broke out the Sharpshooter, Crossface (!) and the Ankle Lock to make Orton tap.
As I said above Melina fell off the apron which she laughed off then did it again for a good pop. Mickie was the only Diva to get a reaction.
Kane brought up the Katy Vick angle during the pre-match promo with Bionic H.
from many reports it sounds like a good show, some good matches, some nice moves used (espicially in the triple threat and supposidly Murdoch used the Candadian destroyer), and a good return from edge, sounds like a show i might actually see.For some reason id like to see a face melina, saw a gif of her stumbling on the ring as you said MIB and she found it funny herself, she has a great smile ^_^.
No I Didn't iwas sped reading for the results mainly. As I dont have Sky Sports any longer I kinda rely on you guys to keep me informed of going s on with WWE TV happenings....
+++EDIT+++
Just found this update.... from Gerweck (As Usual)
I thought it was interested that WWE didn't push the 10th anniversary of the Montreal screwjob. Apparently, WWE feels Bret Hart is on their team, since he did the hall of fame ceremony, and they are in talks to help promote Hart's autobiography in the United States. Vince McMahon has also talked with Hart about doing a follow up DVD release.
That shows how much I am a wrestling fan (at least WWE)...I had no idea that Survivor Series was last night. Plus, I had to work, and when I came home the poewer was out. It was pretty cool to play with my niece for about an hour rather than jump right on the Net.
I'll try to catch Raw tonight. I'm really excited about the return of Jericho...
