Also known as "Number 7", Nana is a Diclonius like Lucy, but that's where the similarities end. The anomaly she possesses is her unwavering pacifism. She refuses to harm or kill human beings, regardless of her orders, even if she is otherwise very obedient. Nana prefers diplomacy to conflict, and will always try to talk her way out of a situation before resorting to the use of her vectors. She has gone horrific physical torture as a means of testing the strength of the Diclonius mutants, and has been given the false pretense that she is the daughter of Chief Kurama. This deceptive, yet very real connection is the only thing keeping Nana sane, for without it, she would have suffered a mental breakdown very early on. It's this same connection that might cause her to go against her better judgment...

While technically Nyu is still Lucy, a renegade Diclonius mutant, a non-fatal gunshot to Lucy's helmet somehow spawned a second personality. Nyu (named for the fact that all she says is "Nyu!") is absolutely nothing like the evil creature that she lives within. Nyu is kind, sweet and innocent. She smiles when she's happy, and cries when she's sad. Much like a small child, Nyu knows how to do absolutely nothing without the aid of someone, including dressing, eating and using the bathroom. She often walks around naked, or half naked, mostly because she doesn't know any better. The whole world seems new to her. While it seems she knows nothing of actual love, she has become quite attached to Kohta. She has a very simplistic way of viewing the world. If something makes people happy, it's a good thing to have or feel, and if something makes people sad, it's considered bad. This innocent philosophy causes some interesting situations between her and Kohta, as well as more conflicts between Kohta and Yuka. However, at a moment's notice, she may become the demonic Lucy once again, and each side of Lucy and Nyu have no knowledge of what the other side has been doing...

With Nyu as a result, you most likely see yourself as an innocent, or view the world in very simple ways. Easily identified as having horns on their head, Diclonius also have the ability to use psychic-powered invisible arms, called "vectors" that are able to manipulate, as well as slice through objects. Although not intended for use as weapons, Lucy is an anomaly. She uses her vectors to dismember anyone who comes within range, deflect bullets, and toss even the most harmless-seeming of objects with lethal, pinpoint accuracy. Seemingly devoid of all emotion, Lucy kills anyone that gets in her way all without cracking a single facial expression. She enjoys torturing the innocent, tearing humans limb from limb while staring them in the face the whole time. She believes herself to be the next step of human evolution, and is bent on both eradicating humanity and furthering the existance and survival of her kind. Yet, as well as she fits the definition of evil, within her mind is the innocent, and child-like Nyu. Could this be the key to ending Lucy's reign of terror, or is it merely her repressed set of emotions trying to live on their own?

Getting Lucy as a result means one of many things. Perhaps you are sick of the way the human race is turning out, and wish to wipe it all away. Maybe you feel as if you are greatly superior, and everything else just doesn't matter. You could be a strong believer in "survival of the fittest."
