Any Anime fan worth their salt should have at least heard of this title. It conerns Keiichi, a good natured young lad without much luck in his life. When he makes a phone call at the end of a stressful day, he is redirected to the Goddess Relief Office. Moments later he finds a young woman appearing through his bedroom wall. She introduces herself as Belldandy, a Goddess who has come to grant Keiichi one wish to make him happy. Keiichi flippantly asks for a Goddess like Belldandy to always by with him and the wish is accepted much to the shock of both parties. And so the story begins.

Ah! My Goddess is a modern classic in Japan having started life as a Manga back in 1988 and been made into many Anime OVAs and films but this is the first TV series. it starts off as a very gentle romance story with a bit of magic here and there but picks up when Belldandy's sisters Urd and Skuld show up and finally reaches it's climax when demons attack Earth.

There are certain elements in this show that may seem famialir from other Anime but they were done here first. The opening half of the series may be a bit slow and soppy for guys but Urd's arrival (and near fan service exploits) will change that!
