I went in saw this.Oh god I really thought it was terrible.My girlfriend (fiancee) is a huge fan of the orginal,and wanted to check out the remake.
It just seemed really pointless and a mangled shell of the original.I can give it props though for trying to be suspenceful without the use of gore or nudity.

I give it a 1/5

Do you know what. it wasn't that bad. I saw a screening last night and found actually watchable. The distinct lack of gore and nudity actually made a refreshing change and there's even some decent scares to be had including a classic 'He's behind you' moment.

It will do well with the teen girl market Im sure. Full review will be on CPC Movies later.

That's the one thing I praise it for.Other than that I just thought it was bland.But your right on the marketing.Plenty of 15 year old girls will love this.

I actually didn't hate this film.
Sure it wasn't a masterpiece but IMO there is nothing wrong with watching a cheesy slasher film every now and again. I quite enjoy them.
Plus the girlfriend wanted to see it so am not complaining.
