I have to say he showed improvement over the Mir fight. While his skills I still wouldn't say are A+ material,I was impressed nonetheless. One thing that seems apparent,is the fact that even with less than amazing standup, his power alone makes him dangerous on his feet. With one shot he took down both Herring and Mir.
I still believe top BJJ guys will give Brock trouble from their back, but for only having 3 pro-fights Lesnar is exceptionaly scary. If he can continue a good training routine, and fine tune his game,he will continue to look dominant.
Id love to see Brock take on Hammill, would be a bit of a lay and pray speciality match but it still would be awesome none the less. I realize that the weight class issue will stop this form happening.
Also, Lesnar had to win otherwise he would have rapidly become a bust for the UFC. THe amount of money they are paying him, he needed the win. Also for Lesnar to have a win against Herring on his CV, he now moves into a contender material.
He's learned well from his foray into American Football. When he joined the NFL he threw himself straight in so quickly he just got spat out the other side so to speak. He had the talent, but didn't allow time for the skills and attitude to develop, something he's worked much harder and longer at in the UFC.
always been a lesnar fan and was well pleased for him. He looked like a kid at christmas when he won bless him. Hopefully he can be the big transition star that UFC desperately needs if it wants to move forward and gain more casual fans
In some exciting news surrounding Lesnars next opponent, it seems that Mark Coleman is now ducking Lesnar so they have lined him up to face Cheick Kongo next. Kongo is dead man unless he can catch Lesnar on the way in with a shot. His ground game is non existant.
There's actually very few people who would be able to match Lesnar in the HW div now, maybe Gonzaga and Big Nog, other than that Lesnar could be on a march...
