Don LaFontaine, the man who is known for his voice alone, died on Monday. He's known for that voice of his because he is voiceover man.
For the past twenty-five years his voice has covered many a trailer and advert, and he's become known as the "King of Voiceovers".
You'd recognise him as soon as you hear the words "In a World..." and so on. His voice has graced so many trailers it's incredible.
Don LaFontaine passed away at the age of sixty-eight having a hugely busy and successful career behind him. He's worked on almost five thousand films, worked on Entertainment Tonight and The Inisder, for all the major U.S. television channels, thousands of television and radio adverts, and according to the story on ETOnline, he's probably the busiest single actor in the history of the Screen Actors Guild.
In a world with voiceovers, Don LaFontaine will surely be missed.
I believe he may have even done a few WWE trailer too.
Not seen said ad but I imagine it was an impersonator as the LaFontaine was US based and probably wouldn't lower himself to work for a twat like Moyles...
Why does evryone I like get slated on here! This week has sucked as Moyles is on holiday and I have to put up with the irritating Scott Mills on the way to work!
Well yes I'm a softly spoken Irish bloke who's blagged me way through a career in radio breakfast shows and poor talk shows and I some how managed to make paint drying an interesting activity....
