This is The CPC Movies Forum "For Sale/Wanted" forum rules. Like any community, our third-party selling community has rules to help ensure a safe and enjoyable buying and selling experience. Please take a moment to read through our Community Rules.

Please take note that these rules can be updated/changed at any time, without warning. It is up to you the user to make sure you are up to date with all the rules.

Also note that the Admins and Mods can ignore/apply the rules as and when they deem fit.

What Are these forums for?
These forums are where members of the The CPC Movies Forum community can sell some of there unwanted stuff they've collected over the years. It is a place where members of the forums can trade stuff with each other. Simple as that.

This is a FREE service. This website doesn't charge anything for placing an advert here. Please ensure that all adverts are placed in the Links & Ads section of the forum please.  We don't take a commission like auction sites. Because it is FREE there are certain conditions:

1) It is not a place where traders or companies can try to sell stuff. We don't make money from it so I don't see why you should.

2) No "dealers" or vendors of any kind. If you purchase any items in quantity, with the sole intent of bringing them here to resell, you are a dealer, by our definition.

3) This isn't a place to make a quick buck by trying to rip someone off. We don't like "Del-Boy" wannabes.

4) No illegal material. It should also be noted that this website does not condone any illegal activities.

5) Stolen goods aren't allowed. Anyone suspect of selling stolen goods will have their details forwarded to the proper authorities.

6) No offensive material. That goes for any media, computer games, music, videos etc.

7) Ticket touting is not allowed. That means selling tickets above their original sale price.

8) We really don't want to see thread bumping. It's annoying. Especially when it's done everyday. If people didn't take an interest the first time, what makes you think they will the second and third? At least give it a few days before bumping a thread.

9) What to include in the post: Basically include as much information as possible. Try and inform the buyers/sellers what exactly you want to buy/sell:

The name of the item.

Make and model (if possible).

A good description of it, including the condition it is in.

Include a manufacturers website showing the item if possible.

Include a guide selling price. Otherwise people just post stupid offers.

10) All threads advertising products without clearly showing a guide price in the opening post will result in the closure of the thread. The price MUST be in the OPENING Post. No exceptions - no excuses. By posting a price, it gives people an idea of the price range you are expecting. You don't always have to sell it for that price.

11) No multiple threads. Do not post numerous single-item threads. If you have more than one item to sell at a time please include all items in one thread. There should really be no need and it just takes up space and clutters up the place.

12) Reposting Items. Do not re-post items that appear in existing threads.

13) When an item is sold, thread starters are asked to indicate when a thread is no longer required by simply posting "Item Sold" or similar.

14) No Auctions. This board is not to be used as an Auction site to sell 2nd hand gear. If you want to conduct an auction then please go to one of the many auction sites. Auctions usually end up in flame wars on Invision Boards. Note that haggling is acceptable.

15) No threads to 'Test' a sale price, or price check. You either have the goods for sale - or not.

16) No Thread spoiling. If you are not interested in an item do not comment on it. Do not reply saying "you can get XXX cheaper here". We don't care. Replying like that end up in flame wars. It is up to the buyer to find that out. Is is a buyers market after all. Genuine comments are welcomed if someone is really trying to rip someone off. We personally think let the buyer beware. If you are interested and want to haggle... post a link to the relevant price... if someone is way off the mark with an asking and we mean way off.. post a link to the current available price (remember VAT and postage must be commented on).

17) Posts must not contain any unsolicited, or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam", "chain letters", "pyramid schemes" or any other form of solicitation;

18) DO NOT under any circumstance quote the rules. Don't even reply to a post saying that person is breaking the rules and can expect a ban. Anyone found doing this will be banned. Use the PM system to Report This to A Moderator (Darth Mattitude, Carlito Cool, Man In Black or Symphony of Destruction) instead.

19) As soon as you and another party strike a deal then immediately exchange e-mails/PMs providing both parties with the following information:

Full Name.

Full Address and Postcode.

Telephone Number (NOT Mobile).

Confirmation of details of the trade.

Payment Method.

Clearly state your understanding of when you expect the money or goods to be sent.

20) Don't ever post your personal details on the forums unless you like be contacted by weirdos.

21) Print out, or make a note on paper of the above details. It is not unheard of for people to lose such information stored on a PC due to virus or hard drive problems. Should there be any delay in completion, then both party's will have full contact details to hand.

22) Please do NOT approach the mods for assistance if you have neglected to take the most rudimentary precautions mentioned here.

23) Only full retail versions of software may be sold through these forums. Software that has been copied or duplicated in any format is prohibited. Additionally, academic, NFR (Not for Resale) software, back-up, fulfillment, promotional, beta (pre-release), unauthorized freeware/shareware, and "softlifted" software versions are prohibited. OEM software must be sold with hardware or in accordance with the terms the OEM software is sold with. Anyone who knowingly buys or sells pirated software through these forums will be permanently banned.

24) Copies of movies (VHS, DVD, etc.) may not be sold through these forums. Also, movies that have been transferred from one format to another are not permitted. For example, NTSC to Pal and Pal to NTSC conversions are not permitted. Unreleased/prereleased movies, screeners, trailers, unpublished and unauthorized film scripts (with no ISBN number), electronic press kits, and unauthorized props are prohibited.

25) Copies of television programmes, including pay-per-view events, are prohibited. Commercially produced and licensed copies of television programmes are permitted. Unauthorized television programmes, programmes never broadcast, unauthorized scripts, unauthorized props, and screeners are prohibited.

26) Recopied music in any format is prohibited. Bootlegs, unauthorized live concerts, unauthorized soundboard recordings, unauthorized merchandise, etc, is not permitted.

27) The sale of unauthorized replicas, or pirated, counterfeit, and knock-off merchandise is not permitted. For instance; replicas of Rolex watches may not be posted.

28) Pornography; X-rated movies; home porn; hard-core material, including magazines, that depict graphic sexual acts; amateur porn; soiled undergarments; sexual aid devices; and "adult-only" novelty items that are primarily sold through adult-only novelty stores and erotic boutiques are not permitted.

29) Conducting sales of alcoholic beverages and cigargrettes are prohibited for sale through these forums.

30) The sale of live creatures and illegal wildlife products is prohibited, and this includes any type of pet or livestock. Furthermore, the sale of unauthorized wildlife items is prohibited. This includes illegal animal by-products (skins, organs, tissue, bones, feathers, etc.) of animals and endangered species. As with all products posted to our site, please be sure to conduct proper research to ensure that your items are in compliance with all laws.

31) Because of the legal complexities regarding the sale of domain names and the potential for trademark or copyright infringement, the sale of Internet domain names is prohibited.

32) We hold personal privacy in the highest regard. Therefore, items that infringe upon, or have potential to infringe upon, an individual's privacy are prohibited. Additionally, the sale of marketing lists (bulk e-mail lists, direct-mail marketing lists, etc.) is prohibited.

33) Any racial, sectarian or ethnic offensive material are prohibited. These include, but not limited to, Hitler mousepads, Swastika flags/patches/posters, KKK patches/belt buckles/hats etc.

34) No illicit drugs or drug related items are permitted. These include Cocaine, Heroin, Marijuana, Anabolic Steroids, LSD, Magic Mushrooms, Bongs, Syringes, etc.

35) Prescription Drugs and Medical Devices are also prohibited. These include Viagra, Prozac, and Contact Lenses, etc. Over-the-counter drugs are also prohibited, such as paracetamol and asprin.

36) This website does not permit the listing of projectile and concussive weapons that employ gunpowder or explosives. The prohibited list includes, but is not limited to, ammunition, rifles, shotguns, pistols, other firearms, and fireworks. Other prohibited items include: swords, automatic knifes, throwing stars, spring-loaded knives, switchblades, crossbows, hunting bows, gravity-assisted knives, butterfly knives, throwing knives, nunchaku, weighted clubs, brass knuckles, BB guns, paintball guns, pellet guns, tasers, stun guns, pepper spray, mace, blowguns, weapons designed to be concealed, Fireworks, Bombs, Dynamite, Detonation devices, Grenades and any other item deemed inappropriate for the community. Bascially anything that is consider a weapon is prohibited. Toys that fire rubber pellets or foam darts are permitted.

37) Any sales of Identification cards of any kind are not allowed. These include Birth Certificates, Driver's Licenses, Law enforcement IDs, Passports, Green cards, College IDs, Work ID's, etc


This is not a complete list (and there will never be a complete list here). It here only as a guide as to what is/is not allowed here. The Mods/Admins have the final say as to what is/is not allowed.
