Yeah man but it's not a diverse enough list. I like bands who embody sever ganres of music in one. Check out Harliquin Forest by Opeth for as many musical styles you can fit in to one track then you'll see what I'm getting at.

I think they're more industrial than EBM but it's a very fuzzy line sometimes. Yeah, I don't mind Celldweller, they're pretty decent.

Probably because most other musical genres can move on and adapt to the times rather than get stagnated.

But you obviously hate change. It's like 1991 never happened with you, so i'm sure you are the many that are like you wit hthe 'Punk will never die' spirit are keeping it going.

That's because "House" isn't music just repetitive computerised noises.

Rock 'n' Roll forever! biggrin.gif

It was difficult for me as I would just put myself down as a pop music fan, but as I had to choose one of them I went for RnB. Isn't that what singers like Rhianna would come under?

To me R'n'B is "Rhythm & Blues" which is the likes of early Yardbirds, Who, Rolling Stones, Them, etc. - white English boys playing the blues.

Today it's linked to that bland, tuneless, soulless electronic sounding drivel with vocal gymnastic displays over the top of it like Beyonce and that lot. The problem is - it contains neither "rhythm" nor "Blues" so how the hell is it R'n'B I don't know.

Maybe they changed it to suit today's style (and shouldn't that be "bass?) but R'n'B will always be Rhythm & Blues for those of appreciate real music.

I'm with you on this one MiB, the crap in the charts has no business calling itself R'n'B. I tend to pay no attention to the charts these days, I mean, earlier this year we had a song about a bloody Umbrella at number one for God knows how long! What are people thinking?!weirdface

I stopped paying attention to chart music about 5 years ago and heard even less after TOTP ended. I haven't heard most of the stuff that's out today and the few bits I have heard have been utter tripe.

Classic rock all the way!

I love all types of music, but I have to classify myself as an alt rock fella. bands like the killers and foo fighters are my faves, but i like all types.

i also love classic rock, listening regularly to bands like styx, journey, fleetwood mac (underrated), and the alan parsons project.
