No, I took that as someone who likes to keep his film projects under wraps...hmm

Right then - an easy one for you.


I was born on April 1st 1883 in Colorado Springs, Colrado and given the names Leonidas Frank.

My breakthrough perfomance in my film career came in "The Frog" in 1919

It was my secondary skill that earned me my reputation and legacy in movie history

My son debuted in films in 1935 under his real name of Creighton Tull before adopting my screen name 

I was portrayed by James Cagney in a bio-pic of my life.

I have portrayed both Quasimodo and The Phantom Of The Opera

I was considered for the role of Dracula before Bela Lugosi but I passed away

Bud Westmore and Rick Baker are two people influenced by my work

No prints of my 1927 film London After Midnght exist any more - only still photos

I've just read through this thread and it sounds like fun! Anyone up for a revival? If so, have a crack at this one...

I was born in 1972 with the christian name Richard

I made my tv debut in 1980 and my movie debut in 1982, providing a voice in a cartoon about rats

I famously hated my character in the tv role that made me most famous

I am often confused with a jazz musician who (almost) shares my name

I met my mentor Mauritz Stiller in 1922 who gave me my famous stage name

I moved to Hollywood in 1926 and made a string of classic films with John Gilbert

In 1930 I made my first talkie Anna Christie to a huge fanfare of publicity and a Best Actress Oscar nomination

I received an honorary Oscar in 1955 and died a recluse in 1990.
