Which of the 'Big Two' do you prefer?  Myself personally it has to be Marvel as my favorite hero Iron Man is one of theirs also, Civil War was a cracking read...

I do read D.C titles, but Marvel is just plain better. Having said that Vertigo owns them both (Even though they're a subsiduary of D.C but that's ok) I think it's about individual titles as apposed to the labels. I enjoyed Detective Storys with batman in, I enjoyed the Civil War one with all the Marvel charictors in, I enjoyed Bite Club from Vertigo. There's just too many but more of my prefered charictors are on Marvel.

The Kurt Cobain story is my favorate though.

Marvel has a pretty confusing history and alot of contradictions but never the less it has Gambit, Ironman ect.

Much, much love for Batman though.

Talking of comics....

Superman was flying around the city and was super horny. He spotted Wonder Woman lying on top of a building naked, with her legs spread. He figured he could fly down there, f*** her super fast, and be outta there before she even knew what happened. So Superman flew down, f***ed her, and flew back out again.

"What was that?" Wonder Woman said.

"I don't know," said the Invisible Man. "But my ass sure hurts!"

MARVEL all the way. Just look at the two big DC characters:

Batman - Fella who was traumatised as a kid so decides to be some vigilante. The big let down is that he's a millionaire, so it all seems stupid. I can understand Spider-Man going out for vengeance because he's got the powers and there's nothing else he could do. Batman however has a lot of influence as Bruce Wayne and could easily get onto the Gotham police to go after the perps.

Superman - An alien who can do everything and yet insists on only ever swooping in and punching his foes. Really, there is nothing else to his character apart from having to live a double life.

Then the villains:

Joker - From what I can tell, he was a serial killer who went mad, wound up looking like a freak and therefore was suddenly more dangerous than before meaning he could only be stopped by Gotham's philanthropist vigilante.

The Penguin - Bully victim and bird lover. Somehow this made him a master criminal.

Mr. Freeze - Scientist developing an ice weapon, this backfires and makes him insane. I can mildly understand the need for superhero intervention here, but still, another mad man.

Two-Face - One time lawyer, gets his face disfigured, goes mad and becomes a crime boss. Sound familiar?

The Riddler - Pretty much the only Batman villain I like. Leaves a clue before any crime he commits which is usually his downfall, but it's the way he's kinda on the cusp of being insane that makes him actually different from the rest of the villains.

Compare them to MARVEL characters who have always been more three dimensional, and I really can't see how you can compare the two.
