The bad: There's talk that Galactus is going to be a stupid storm cloud WTF??? What the heck?! I hope thats not true..The first movie was an abomination and not even the silver surfer intrests me in this one, and hearing that...man i hope its not true.Galactus is fantastic (his helmet is a bit silly admittingly) and need to be in the movie as the way he is in the comics, not a bloody storm cloud!
Right... Deep breath. The Silver Surfer is a fictional Marvel Comics superhero. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby, he first appeared in the comic book The Fantastic Four #48 (March 1966).
The Surfer was originally Norrin Radd, a young astronomer of the planet Zenn-La. He agreed to serve as herald to the god-like entity, Galactus, in order to save Zenn-La from the world devourer's insatiable hunger. Granted enormous powers (he wields the Power Cosmic[1]), a silvery appearance and a surfboard-like vehicle all of which were modeled after a childhood fantasy of Radd the Silver Surfer roamed the cosmos, searching for new planets for Galactus to consume.
In the classic The Coming of Galactus story arc in Fantastic Four #48-50 (1966), the Silver Surfer encountered Earth's Fantastic Four and betrayed Galactus, who doomed him to exile on Earth.[2] In tune with the counterculture of the era, the Surfer explored his new home planet in a heavily philosophical late 1960s spin-off series. Another, more cosmically themed series with a freed Surfer was published from 1987 until 1998. A third series followed in 2003, lasting only a year.
The character was featured in adaptations of The Coming of Galactus in both the 1967 and 1994 TV adaptations of Fantastic Four. He starred in a short-lived solo animated series in 1998, which blended cel and computer animation.
A sequel to the 2005 Fantastic Four film, scheduled for 2007, will be called Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Early promotional materials indicate it will be a loose adaptation of "The Coming of Galactus" with the Surfer more of a central villain.

Hey, that might work .... you look just like the thing
No, no Photos were allowed In fact the BBC were barred from bringing cameras in. They had to apply for special dispensation. Bit crap really. Bloody 20th Century Fox. Can be a right pain sometimes. But hey Jessica looked loverly.
Funnily enough I did before the interview. She was actually quite pleased, as she said she gets fed up of the atention from those types of things as it detracts from the acting.
Well young Jessica is a lovely lady and i am sure that she is lovely in person. A lot of the celebs are quiet down to earth when you get them away from the camera's.
But as for the film Ocean's 13 is first on my hit list and then i will have to make Jessica 2nd place for now.
Where did you interview them? I ask because I am currently watching a special on this film on ITV2. Edith Bowman has interviewed a few on their way into the cinema and after the advert break she is interviewing Jessica Alba and Ioan Gruffudd in it looks like one of the pods of the London Eye.
Yes the interviews were on the london eye. She interviewed Jessica Alba and Ioan Gruffudd together follwed by Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans
Its fantastic you get the chance to meet and interview with some famous people Dark M,It must be quite odd to meet the person who you see on the big screen and talk with them,iv never met anyone famous apart from Ryan Giggs several years back (who was a great guy), and several Joshi stars in japan,so i envy you ^^. The movie looks and sounds better then the original film which isnt much, because the first was really boring to me.Silver Surfer looks really cool, and he is an excellent character so hopefully he will be used well.
Well it's done pretty well over here, So if I were you I'd be expecting number 3..
Fantastic Four - Rise Of The Silver Surfer, the latest superhero sequel to hit the big screen, has debuted at the top of the UK and Ireland box office.
The comic book adventure, which follows the 2005 original and stars Jessica Alba and Ioan Gruffudd, is currently number one in both the UK and US.
The film took £4.1m in the UK across the weekend, pushing casino caper Ocean's 13 into second place.
Horror movie Vacancy was the only other new entry in the top five, at four.
Well I have now seen this movie. I thought it was quite good, I don't read the comics so I am not comparing the characters to what they are like in the comics. It was entertaining without having to really think too much about it all.
The effects were good and of course the costumes were very nice. I think the thing with the torch swapping powers was funny and the guy who plays the torch is very nice.
Jessica looked a little funny a times in this film, it was something about her hair and lips which just looked strange.
I loved the parts with them swapping powers with torch, very fun to watch. Its a good movie, far better then the first which was atrocious.I really loved the wedding at the end with Susan storm and Mr Fantastic, man that is the wedding i want to have with my girl ^^..
I noticed that too. It looked like she was wearing a wig or something. Or maybe the blonde dye was causing it to fall out? Either way she looks better with dark hair to me.
Just seen some promotional ads for 'Good Luck Chuck' her latest film and Jessica looks amazing again. So don't know what it was in rise of the silver surfer that made her look strange.
