I thought Pixar had separated from Disney? Obviously not...

So, what do we reckon this is going to be like: Short Circuit meets E.T? wink.gif

Pixar got back with Disney after Disney realized the folly it was to let them go. It took rather a lot of millions to get them back plus Lassiter got a place on the board too.

Well after the Dark Knight campaign success already looks like Disney are going down similar roads with this Website: http://www.buynlarge.com/

Pixar has merged viral marketing with high school-level Wal-Mart critique to create a website for Buy n Large, the fictional mega-coporation from their upcoming Wall-E. Buy n Large is buying-out the cardinal direction of north, changing its name to "Buy n Large North", according to one story on the site. Another claims BnL has made a new drug to make shopping more euphoric. The robotics page says humans shouldn't have to make political decisions, leaving it instead to machines.

WALLE ADDS A SLICE OF MAGIC TO THE US BOX OFFICE TAKING THE #1 SPOT

What if mankind had to leave Earth and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off?

Pixar Animations WALLE had audiences of all ages flocking to the cinema in the US this weekend as it took the #1 spot at the US box office with a $62.5 million opening. Pixars endearing little robot outdid Angelina Jolie and James McAvoys new opener Wanted by an impressive $11million.

WALLE is the 9th feature animation from Pixar Studios and so far is one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2008. It is rare that such critical success translates into the box office glory that WALLE achieved at the weekend. The pioneers of digital animation at Pixar have once again created another instant box office hit.

WALLE is the most ambitious, breathtaking film from Pixar to date Mike Goodridge- Screen International

It does seem that the alchemists at Pixar have come up with pure gold Wendy Ide The Times

WALLE is Pixar's ninth consecutive number one hit film.
WALLE is tied with 2001's Monsters, Inc as the animation studio's third-best opener.
WALLE received its first public UK screening last weekend at this years Edinburgh International Film Festival where it showcased as the Family Gala film.
Pixar's best opening weekend was $70.5m (£35m), set in 2004 by superhero tale The Incredibles.
WALLE will be making a personal appearance at the UK Premiere in Leicester Square on Sunday 13th July.
