I have started threads about my favorite genre of rock/metal over several forums before, but it's about time TU got it's version.

These bands were huge in the 80's and my favorite had to be the one and only Warrant.

Here's Sometimes She Cries (Their 3rd biggest hit afet Heaven and Cherry Pie). Shame Jani Lane left there were class.

And a bit of Ronny James Dio - Rainbow in the Dark, Not so much C0ck Rock but just essential listening in my eyes

Megadeth - No More Mr Nice Guy.
Not known for their hair metal exploits, but this cover is just plain wank. I think it might have something to do with all the Smack he Dave was on back then... We can only hope...

Pantera - All Over Tonight
Pantera before Phil Joined, I never though I'd say this but Damn, Pantera Sucked. and is it me or have the Dimebag Models gotten smaller or is it just me?

The Darkness - I believe in a thing called Love
A bit of contempory Glam wank, honestly. what were the media thinking when they said that they were the second coming?

You're right about that Pantera vid. Terrible and the guitar solo was like a drunken EVH being let loose on his axe.

Anyway, back to the good stuff and an underrated classic:

Tyketto - Forever Young

Pretty Boy Floyd - Rock N Roll (Is Gonna Set The Night On Fire)

Kane Roberts - Twisted (former Alice Cooper guitarist)

Tigertailz - Heaven (Welsh glam rock band)

Let's hear it for the girls:

Vixen - Love Made Me

Femme Fatale - Falling In And Out Of Love

Madam X - High In High School

Bonus - Sebastian Bach when he took over lead vocals for Madam X in 1987:

Lee Aaron - Metal Queen

Lita Ford - Out For Blood

Warlock - All We Are

And not forgetting:

Heart - Barracuda (1977 - before Ann Wilson ate all the pies)

Heart - Alone (10 years and 1000 pies later)

Those are some cool posts, just thinking though. we're going to run out of Hair Metal bands some time soon.

Shouldn't we make this like "That 80's thread" or something of the like and include other ludicris ganres famillier to the 80's such as Electro and Thrash and other assorted tidbits? just so people other than the 3 of us can get involved?

Anyway....

Yngwie Malmsteen - Heaven tonight

Britny Fox - Girl School

Great White - Once Bitten, Twice Shy

Kingdom Come - Do You Like It?

Kix - Blow My Fuse

MSG (McCauley Schenker Group) - Gimme Your Love

And we can't forget the Prince of Darkness:

Ozzy Osbourne - Shot In The Dark

Perhaps a thread rename to "80's/90's Hair Metal" might be a tad more appropriate?

Danger Danger Special

Danger Danger - Bang, Bang (Acoustic Live) ted Poley still is one of the best **** rocker vocals out there... Only bettered by Jani Lane.

Naughty Naughty

Danger Danger, Bang bang, Naughty Naughty... Not exactly the most creative of bands...

Another Acoustic number this time the ballad Don't Walk away:

Feels Like Love To Me (Final Acoustic Number):

And of course the majestic....

Monkey Business.

The only problem with Danger Danger for me is that they were about 5 years too late. They arrived in 1992 when melodic hard rock was dead and grunge was en vogue. If they had released Monkey Business around '87 -'89 they would have been bigger even if it was just for a while.

Anyway filling in the gaps DM left

Warrant - Cherry Pie

Warrant - Heaven

Warrant - Down Boys

I recognise Nuno Bettencourt and Gary Cherone and I think that's Pat Badger but who is the drummer? That doesn't look like Paul Geary....
