Well, Im hoping to visit Japan in January so that might end up being the best option...hopefully among all the slightly disturbing Maid Cafe's there will be somewhere to buy Hoshino related stuff.

Visiting Japan was this astonishing experience and once youve tasted it your desperate for more.

I'm sure you can get J-Idol DVDs from yesasia.com and Amazon.co.jp and there are a few other sites like J-List which may ship to the UK too.

Bought lots of that kind of thing here in japan, only place you can really get your hands on it really Glowlad.I have tons of stuff which i cant wait to put in my asian collection back home hehe.By the way i love that meiko satomura sig!

Japan has lots of good stores for this kind of thing, but what really surprises me is the amount of clothes store they have here, man there is so many kinds, the fashion in japan is really really cute ^^. I love watching the girls go by me hehe and my friends are all adoreable..gosh i love japan..

In the current NEO mag (with the free DVD) there are some ads for shops in London which are specialising in Japanese merchandise.

Orbital has three shops in London: Orbital Comics in Charing Cross road, Orbital Designer Toys in Moor St and Orbital Manga in Upper St Martins Lane.

And TokyoToys is opening a shop in Greenwich at weekends only but the first Saturday of every month will see free events.

In the latest NEO mag there is a feature on the refurbished and expanded Japan Centre in Picadilly Circus. It has taken over the old shop next door and has expanded to to feature a supermarket full of Japanese foods, a bookstore, homeware and a restaurant/Deli.

Also www.tokyotoys.com will be opening a store in Picadillay on January 2nd 2008!

I wonder where they sell J-idol stuff in Japan, would mainstream stores have Aki Hoshino/Photobooks/DVD's for example?

Youll find most of that stuff in stores that sell varieties of iteams Glowlad, also the likes of Lumine and the big shopping malls have music departments where you can buy idol things i think, mostly dvds, posters and such, but you can but them in places if you look hard enough.

Seriously, I would be wary of customs coming back in case they think your photobooks and DVDS contain pron. They can be picky like that....

Iv never had any problems coming back with stuff Mib espicially things like that so hell have no problems.

You might be lucky, but I spoke to a guy who bought a Sora Aoi nude photobook from Japan and copped a lot of grief from customs. You never know who they may pick on.

well iv been 3 times and came back pretty fine with no real problems, but thats a bit odd that they would stop someone for just having a book like that..

I have mib but iv never been searched, though saying that, i usually have assistance helping me through customs and such because of my medical reasons. But iv never had trouble myself :).
