WWE is saddened by the passing of Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah.
In the world of womens wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah. She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. And with more than 50 years in the business to her credit, she established a legacy that will never be forgotten, making her name synonymous with female wrestling. WWE.com will have more on Fabulous Moolah as it becomes available.
Terrible. A good womens wrestler in her time and seemed such a lovely lady...She had a great career and life but its still so sad, i dont know what to say other then Rest in Peace Moolah.
R.I.P - Shame the WWE still insist on that Kayfabe BS about her 28 year title reign when she dropped the belt many times. the truth is she owned the NWA Women's title and thus booked it herself. WWF just didn't use her or recognise the title until the 80's - hence the 28 year title reign that never was.
Anyway, she looked really ill in her last TV appearance but she had a good innings and made her mark on the business. I hope WWE do a decent tribute on RAW to her.
Mae Young said that she wants to wrestle when she reaches 100 years old as a tribute to Moolah.
Welll, she revealed today that if she lives to be 100 she will wrestler for WWE and Stephanie McEgo has already got Mae's opponent lined up for her: Aurora McEgo!
Yup, Steph's daughter will be 17 in 2022 when Mae turns 100. Typical McEgo - always putting themselves over as usual...
