Well the December section of the prelims to the 2008 UMS is all about the comedy.  The contenders are:

Airplane, National Lampoons Animal House, Monty Python's Life of Brian, This is Spinal Tap, Blazing Saddles, Trading Places, Duck Soup & The Princess Bride.

So the first round looks like this:

pah..another disapointing list to choose from, some missing clasics like Naked Gun,Liar Liar ect ect (well for me anyway!),i actually havent seen 6 of these films myself.
