Just days after saying that he was very close to starting his own wrestling promotion with Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan has done an interview with MTV.com where he states that he would like to take on Ric Flair at WrestleMania. Hogan, who acted as if he wasn't sure that WrestleMania was at the Citrus Bowl in Florida (he was purely working) then said that they need a "main event real bad brother" for the show and have a lot of tickets to sell. He said that with Flair's career on the line, it's the perfect match to have, with Vince McMahon as the guest referee. So, Hogan's angling for a Mania spot has officially begun
Add Shelton Benjamin to the MitB match. Also on this weeks SD! Rey comes out and announces due to his injury he won't be at Wrestlemania before being attacked by the Big SHow.
Actually DAVE vs Umaga could be a pretty good, power match between the 2.Batist as much as a fool he is,can have good matchs on rare occasions and i think this would be a pretty good match up.As for the Bunny girl match..as usual with the E,they just will not allow the girls to actually have a straight up wrestling match a the biggest ppv of the year.Awful.
Mae Young is the latest announced Hall of Fame inductee.....
Umaga Vs. DAVE RAW Vs. Smackdown match and JBL vs. Finlay(Hornswoggles real dad) have been announced. So they killed off the Hornswoggle McMahon angle fairly well with that deft move. Deary me what a mess.....
But atleast they took old "Vinny" out of it! Mcmahon was much better "playing" a credible owner rulling the company with an iron fist. I hate all the "Kiss my ass club" and "bastard son" et al. BS!
I know but I can dream of a return to the times when stories were fueled by a simple desire to be the best, not by a desire to show someone naked on the titantron while making simultaneous advances on there wife and sister and finally revealing that your really married to their mother! Slight exageration but you get my meaning!
Sadly that isn't going to happen as Vince thinks he writes mini films with wrestling matches thrown in and not a wrestling show.
If that is what you want then try watching Puro like New Japan and NOAH. All Japan has some (but still sensible) storylines while HUSTLE is WWE but much better and more entertaining (as their tongue is firmly in their cheek).
I haven't seen Raw this week yet, is the angle actually over? I know they revealed last week that Hornswoggle is not Vince's son, but is there still an anonymous 'son' out there, or have they revealed that the whole illigitimate son thing was a ruse from the start?
- At this point the Triple Threat for the WWE Title is scheduled to close out this year's Wrestlemania. Triple H is considered the favorite to win the match. John Cena is the dark horse but since he is filming his new flick "12 Rounds" it is very unlikely that he will win. Randy Orton's chances of winning are even less as Wrestlemania almost never closes with a heel going over.
- There is talk of adding CM Punk vs Chavo Guerrero in an Extreme Rules match for the ECW Title to the lineup.
- Three spots remain for this year's Money in the Bank ladder match. Currently the favorites for those finals spots are Elijah Burke, Kane and believe it or not The Great Khali.
and from a card post WM:
The Sovereign Bank Arena is advertising the following matches for the WWE house show in Trenton, New Jersey on April 8th, 2008:
DX vs. Randy Orton & Umaga
Jeff Hardy vs. Lance Cade for the Intercontinental Championship
Chris Jericho vs. Snitsky
Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes vs. Santino Marella & Carlito for the World Tag Team Championship
well kane's the serial wm card filler so it wouldn't surprise me one bit. It doesn't matter who they put in because they've already decided a winner by now. I guarantee it will be won by someone who's already listed for it
I'm thinking probably Ken Kennedy. He missed out on his shot last year due to injury, plus Jeff has just had a push and a title match. Also, if we are assuming that HHH will win the gold at WM, it would be far easier and more entertaining to run a HHH/Kennedy feud.
March 6, 2008 Los Angeles, CA WWE has announced that Rev Theorys Light It Up along with the Red Hot Chili Peppers Snow (Hey Oh) will be this years theme songs for Wrestlemania XXIV.
Selected from among thousands of recent rock anthems, Light It Up has gotten wrestling fans pumped up and raving already for this legendary sports-entertainment spectacular. The song is included in Wrestlemania ads and will be played during the event and on the WWE website, www.WWE.com.
Wrestlemania regularly draws crowds of over 70,000 people and is one of pay-per-views largest events. This years extravaganza will include not only star wrestlers, but also music heavy weights John Legend, Snoop Dogg and of course, Rev Theory.
What else would you expect from a band who was a part of last years Bad Boys of Rock tour with rock hard heavy hitters Hinder, Buckcherry and Papa Roach? Fans of Rev Theory can also look forward to the bands debut album on Interscope Records, coming June 2008.
Wrestlemania XXIV takes place on Sunday, March 30th, at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. Rev Theory Official Website www.RevTheory.com

There's actually 5/6 potentially good matches there....
In the latest issue of WWE Magazine there is a feature where they list the top Wrestlemania dream matches they want to see. The list includes: Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan, Victoria vs Beth Phoenix, Chris Jericho vs Edge, Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker, Carlito vs DH Smith vs Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton, The Rockers vs London & Kendrick, Boogeyman vs Papa Shango, JBL vs HHH and The Rock vs MVP.
Boogeyman vs Papa shango? Obviously someone very insane had to suggest that, while they are at it,how about Giant Gonzales vs Great Khali vs Kurrgan? ^-^
Armando Estrada announced on ECW that 24 superstars (or guys who don't have matches for 'Mania) from Raw, Smackdown and ECW will compete in a battle royal. The winner will immediately face Chavo Guerrero Jr. for the ECW title.
If CM Punk wins this he better get the title, but then if he does, doesn't this just become a pointless exercize when they could just announce Punk vs. Chavo...? Although it must be said Im holding a candle that Punk gets a MiTBplace now Jeff's out.
+++ EDIT +++ Ant he next site I visit is wwe.com to see it announced that CM Punk defeated Big Daddy V to be entered in the MitB. So looks like a new champion for ECW then?
John Morrison takes one of the last two spots in the MITB after this weeks SD! tapings. Hmmm, if rumours are true and Kane gets the final spot and Undi wins the belt at Mania, anyone want to put a few quid on Kane winning the MITB and facing his brother for the belt?
Kanes never going to get another shot at a world title. The guy has been jobbed to death that no longer is he seen as a threat to anyone.Im guessing Kennedy will get the title shot, but i have no idea why,the guy is a terrible wrestler and just plain dull to watch.
The current plan for Umaga vs. DAVE at Wrestlemania is for the match to end controversially. Umaga would then switch to Smackdown to continue the program with DAVE.
For the summertime, the current direction has Umaga feuding with The Undertaker for the world heavyweight championship.

As long as it involves DAVE losing I don't care either way....
With Jeff out of the picture i reckon Jericho will win the MITB match. If Kane is last entrant then i can only see Kennedy or Jericho winning. CM Punk could win it but if he did i'd hope they moved him from ECW to Raw.
I also think Chavo will lose title to someone who isn't on ECW, haven't decided who yet though.
The latest news from the celebrity side of WrestleMania XXIV is that Kim Kardashian will be involved in the Playboy Bunny Mania lumberjill match, which Snoop Dogg will be hosting. Kardashian - known for her big assets - is a Playboy cover girl herself and she confirmed her involvement in the show on MTV's TRL earlier this week. Previously she was being listed as a guest hostess of WrestleMania. Kardashian made headlines last year when a private sex tape she did with hip-hop star Ray J was released on the Internet. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)
WWE.com is reporting that John Morrison has filled the last spot of the MITB match at Wrestlemania which means there will only be 7 participants, unless they throw a "surprise" entrant in on the show
I'd like to see Matt win the Battle Royal then beat Chavo for the ECW gold, because I doubt they'd let Matt win the belt without some major build up. I mean the best singles title he's ever won is the Cruiserweight strap. Typically M.I.T.B winners have always had midcard straps before they won the match.
