Well one of the better reality shows is back next week! So here we go again series 4 and already Alan Sugar is complaining...
Sir Alan Sugar has criticised the BBC for portraying him as "Mr Nasty" in reality TV show The Apprentice.
The 60-year-old, who is about to front the fourth series of the show, said his fearsome boardroom image is not right.
"Like it or not, and I don't like it that much, there's a perception of me just banging the table and shouting," the businessman told the Radio Times.
The tycoon is well known for giving contestants a hard time after tasks that are set to find a new trainee.
Business empire
He revealed it is a "continual argument" he has with the production team about how he is perceived.
"The BBC has categorised me as Mr Nasty, so all the humour ends up on the cutting room floor," he said.
This year's 16 contestants reportedly include a BBC radio sports presenter, a woman who claims to be descended from royalty and an IT expert who won a pay-out after suing her City law firm.
The winner of the series, which starts next week, will be given a job with a six-figure salary within Sir Alan's business empire.
Last year's winner was public school-educated Simon Ambrose, who beat single mother and the series favourite, Kristina Grimes.
I've actually been watching this series for the first time since week 4.
That ginger haired bitch seriously needed to go and I'm glad she was fired so summarily after her nasty attempts to sabotage the other team's tennis racquets purchase.
In fact the whole of the losing team should have been fired this week.
Sir Alan Sugar has offered Jonathan Ross a role on next year's Comic Relief celebrity edition of The Apprentice.
Appearing as a guest on Ross's BBC One chatshow, Sugar said: "You're going to join us. I'll be nice to you."
Sugar also admitted he enjoyed firing Jenny Celerier on this week's show.
"Yes, that one had to go," Sugar said.
Last year's Comic Relief Does The Apprentice featured Cheryl Cole, Jo Brand, Piers Morgan and Ross Kemp. Although no winner was declared, Sugar later admitted that given the choice he would have hired Cole.
Another cracking episode last night. When will these people learn that when you have the selling tasks like this, one choice is very, very obviously going to be the one to get. e.g. If on e seale means you will likely win the task, then sell that. A multi award winning designer to boot?
Glad Sara went she was a whinger playing the victim the whole time. Unless it was Bollywood themed she wasn't intrested or 'Wasn't being listened too'. Micheal should have gone too, although if he doesn't win next weeks task, I'd say he was defo a goner.
Sara shouldn't have gone. She only whinged because everyone else was dumping on her each week despite making more effort than they did.
Michael or that lazy heifer Helene should have gone. Plus Sara was the only looker of the group so now we are left with two fatties and colour-blind frump.
Buisness is not about how someone looks mib but how good they are at their job, obviously this Sara character was no up to task.I catch bits and pieces of the Apprentice but its not really my cup of tea.

I have to disagree. In the first couple of weeks, yes they dumped on her. Then she reverted to this I'm the victim posture. Then the only real idea she has had was 'Let's do Bollywood....' If they didn't follow her idea she sulked her way throughout the tasks. I thought the sumisation made of her was spot on, she couldn't read people at all. I did however think that Micheal should have gone before her, but it would have only been a matter of time.
I have to respectfully disagree again. Sara played the victim because she was the victim. Have you ever been bullied DM? Because I can tell you from bitter experience it does wear you down and knock your confidence and you do end up being on the defensive all the time. And when you do get a chance to express yourself about it, it does seem like a big whinge. At least she didn't play the race card like some would have.
But I do concur that she didn't do enough to stand up for herself in the boardroom and trying to nail the others failed for her (when it seemed to work for the others before her surprisingly enough) I felt she was too desperate to prove herself again this week after a successful week last week. I thnik if Suralan had kept her on, she would have learned fromthe feedback he gave her about not being able to read people and not bludgeoning her potential customer. But we shall never know now. That said, just firing her for "whinging" when the team leader made so many bad calls and thus is more culpable is bewildering in my eyes.
That Michael is really walking on thin ice right now. Unless he can pull one out of the bag next week, if he is on the losing side again he will be a goner for sure.
Sara seemed to have the same 'strategy' if I can call it that as Michael, Helene, the ginger cow who went last week and Alex. Which basically consisted of not working as a team. If they didn't get their ideas heard, they would do nothing to help. Now this could be the way the programmes edited, but Sara did look like she did absolutely nothing.
oh and yes I have been on the end of bullying. If you remeber recently a certain forum too. But she's on a national TV programme. She volunteered for it. Now while i'm not condoning some of their actions, Srallun picked up on it and other than Helene all the persecutors have all been fired. It was her first week in the clear and all she did was bash people (Public) over the head and try and bully them into buying. It's almost a case of reap what you sow.
I always questioned the claims that Sara never contributed because when they showed the group meetings she was always the first to put her ideas forward and she always had her notebook out and was alwasy on the go.
Was she a great team player? Probably not but forsome people - right or wrongly - their idea of being a team player is to make sure they've got their own bases covered and they do their own bit well so they can hold their head up at the end of the day. I'm sensing this is her tenet and it would appear to be her undoing as we saw.
With regards to being upset at having her ideas rejcted, the only time I can recall that being an issue was the greetings cards. To be honest I think a cultural specific card would have done much better business than the doomed Environmet alone. So I'd probably be miffed if a valid idea was passed over for a stupid one too.
Anyway it's academic now as she's gone.
And I can't believe I'm discussing this at such length considering it's just a TV show that I've never watched before!
Well, the Thunderbird puppet finally falls, as much as he grew on me I wasn't a big fan. I think Srallun nailed it with his comments out side of his big words he was rubbish. He flailed as PM yesterday.
I loved the way Alex's team started on each other only to find out they won and then everything was all lovey dovey again. Great product name Atishu.
It's mind boggling that Moron Michael is still there when Raef and Sara were fired for much less crimes that this buffoon has created.
And that Lucinda is a sneaky one. She's been playing the hapless victim for the first half, now she's suddenly become a bossy, opinionated cow! And does that Helene do anything other than stand at the back then moan about everyone else not doing things right?
Both campaigns had good and bad aspects to them so it was a tight call. I was shocked at the result but I think it was more a default victory. Either that of Suralan figured shouting three people to a shopping spree was cheaper than four!
I think ALex is the lucky one. He keeps slowly distancing himself from getting in trouble in the boardroom. I think Lee's in with a good shout if he can stop himself from doing anymore public speaking.... Although on the basis of that performance it may have just marked his card with SurAllun
alex is a twat who is so luky to still be in @ this stage .. how the hell that team won last night was beyond me but they got the 1 thing right as in have the product celarly on show when on the screen
best thing on tv right now alongside dr.who and peep show
Moron Michael claims he is a super salesman yet he sold sweet FA all day on those cars and only made sale at the last minute due to bribing those guys with champagne.
Helene has finally been picked out by Suralan for doing nothing all this time.
Cracking twist on the end there, I was wondering all day how he was going to sort out the final 5. Once again glad to see Lucinda go.
I thought the final two would be Alex and Cluurre, but that won't happen as they are on opposite teams next week. So I will go out on a limb and say that Lee will win.
I still don't think Helene should have stayed. She has literally done nothing but bitch and moan and stand in the background, and now suddenly, out comes the "hard knocks"story and she's a favourite?
I think it's more about the enviroment she has come from e.g. Big Business. SHe could hit the floor running and has dealt with the no nonsense style of people.
Shocker or what? I think he talked himself into the role in the last 5 minutes there though..
I really liked the campaign of Dual but the branding of Roulette. It hink the trick they missed with Roulette was, they should have gone for a more James Bond angle, because women 'love' Bond.
I thought the pressure got to Alex and he was directed by 'The only bank manager in the village' and Hell-ene was a dead loss througout.
Still I would like to see in 6 months time a how are they getting on type of programme.
Rather than start a new thread for the upcoming US Celebrity Apprentice, I thought I'd stick this newsbit from IMDb here:
Latest: Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills has reportedly been dropped from the line-up of Donald Trump's hit U.S. reality TV show Celebrity Apprentice.
The business tycoon confirmed in June that Mills was bidding for a role on the series, a spin-off of TV hit The Apprentice, which sees celebrities work under the guidance of mentor Trump.
But producers decided against recruiting the 41-year-old after she allegedly demanded a clause in her contract that guaranteed her a place in the show's final.
A source tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "The network were originally very keen on getting her involved. But her demands were ludicrous and it soon became clear that getting her involved would be a headache.
'It was the final straw when she said she wouldn't take part unless she was a dead cert for the final...
She was politely informed that (U.S. network) NBC wouldn't be following up their interest in her appearing.'
The second series of the show is set to begin recording this month and is scheduled for a premiere in the U.S. in January.
Doesn't surprise me and she obviously didn't fancy her chances of getting there otherwise. Wonder who else they'll put in. Last years line up with Tito Ortiz and Gene Simmonds is going to be pretty hard to top.
