Tonight on BBC2 at 21.30pm is a Docu-Drama called The Shogun about Shogun Tokugawa ieyusa, one of the most famous men in Japanese history.

Set in 16th century Japan, it was his ruling that changed Japan forever and lead to the biggest Samurai battle ever recorded.

Expect lots of violence and beautiful imagery as we are transported back to feudal Japan.

Well once you've watched this, check out the TV series Shogun from 1980 starring Richard Chamberlain. You can get the complete box set for silly money now.

I would recommend the original novel by James Clavell more but somehow I can't see you reading all 1100+ pages of it. wink.gif
