Viewing figures and revenues from the phone voting system currently would say otherwise Braxious. While there's still money in this it will carry on. Also, this year contestants are a marked improvement on the last few years. Dare I say it, there's actuyally some seemingly normal people in the house.
Now Alexandra has gone too, it should start to pick up a bit more.
Good ridence to her. She's one of the few people who I can genuinly say I hate. I don't like saying that about "celebs" (for lack of a vastly better word) as I dont really know them. But I saw enough of this vile, evil cow to know I would probably take pleasure in watching her get a good slap off the other housemates.
Are they going to have Davina do another pandering fluff interview with this creature like they did with Jade Goody 2 years back, or will they bottle it completely do you think?
Sylvia and Mohamed will face the public vote this week...
As the housemates sat nervously in the living room Big Brother announced that Mohamed and Sylvia would be up for eviction in this Friday's public vote.
Sylvia's eyes rolled upwards as her name was read out. Mohamed smiled and jumped to his feet to get a hug from Rex. 'I couldn't feel better' he said. I get to feel it now - now I know how Mario felt last week'.
'No one hugs me' said Sylvia.
'No one who nominated me is getting to hug me'.
Meanwhile the other housemates were surprised by the nominees.
'that has shocked me, one million per cent. Both people' said Dennis.
So, will you dash Sylvia's chances of pursuing love in the House? Or will it be fro-clad Mohamed who'll be heading off for a chat with Davina?
I say Sylvia's on her way out. Although this combination was a bit of a shocker. Mohammed? I thought people liked the dude in there.
Mr.Braxious as previously stated if you don't like Big Brother please refrain from commenting in the thread. Anyway another one of the housemates has been ejected...
Dennis is removed from the Big Brother House for unacceptable behaviour...
Housemate Dennis McHugh has been removed from the Big Brother House for unacceptable behaviour.
A number of housemates were involved in an argument at approximately 12.45am this morning (27th June), which resulted from a prank played by Rex that ended in a picture painted by Jennifer being slightly defaced.
During the argument Dennis spat in the face of fellow housemate, Mohamed.
Big Brother intervened immediately to break up the argument. The 'as live' streaming from the house on E4 was cut and no footage was broadcast.
All the housemates involved in the argument were sent to separate bedrooms and kept apart for the rest of the night. Dennis and Mohamed were called separately to the diary room in the early hours to discuss the incident.
After production staff and executives at Channel 4 reviewed the footage this morning, Dennis was called to the diary room a second time at 1:15pm and told he was immediately being removed from the house.
Following Dennis's removal, Big Brother continues to call to the diary room a number of other housemates to discuss their involvement in the argument and remind them of the rules governing housemates' behaviour.
A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "Spitting in someone's face is seriously offensive and Mohamed was understandably upset. Big Brother has very clear rules about offensive behaviour. Like all housemates Dennis was clearly informed before entering the house that he faced eviction if he acted in an unacceptable manner."
Viewers will be able to see the incident and how it was handled in tonight's highlights show on Channel 4 at 9pm.
Tonight's eviction vote, involving Mohamed and Sylvia, will proceed as planned.
The way Jen Rebecca and Luke have turned against Kat is depressing...Kat is a bona fide nice person, but they are so fake themselves that they cant handle someone genuine.
This series has so far been an improvement on recent ones.
Jennifer and Rex will face the public vote this week...
Ever since the housemates were called into the Diary Room on Monday to cast their votes, Rebecca has been convinced she would be up for eviction. However, she was in for a surprise.
"The housemates nominated for eviction this week are," boomed Big Brother, "in no particular order..."
"...Rex."
"Yes!" shouted Rex. "Thank **** for that! My heart's going well fast now..."
"And," added Big Brother, "Jennifer."
Jennifer tried to smile, but was a bit lost for words.
"You ain't going nowhere," whispered a clearly relieved Rebecca in Jennifer's ear in a scene resembling a stampede in Noah's Ark.
"I'm not actually ***** to be honest," said Jennifer, resignedly.
"We knew it was going to be one of us, didn't we," said Rebecca. "Let's just carry on with it."
"Well, that's what happens when you speak your mind," sighed Jennifer, suggesting that her candid behaviour was the reason for her nomination.
So, will Rex or Jennifer be saying so long to the House on Friday? You decide.
Well after the painting row last week I'll be pleased to see Jen go...
I agree, Jen is a pain in the you-know-what. Plus it would be interesting to see how Dale and Stuart reacted to her leaving.
On a different point, I have to commend Mohamed on his self-control. He has taken a fair bit of abuse in the house, with Alex ripping into him on several occasions, Dennis spitting in his face and now Rebecca cutting up his belt. I don't think I could have taken all that without any major reaction. Well done Mo!
I thought the Zoo Animals task was hilarious, th chucking a bucket of water on the seals was funny, then when Bex and Jen realized that the water was fish water even funnier.
Is it me or is Luke starting to become a right annoying prat?
I think he was just trying to copy the Glynn kid from a couple of years back. Thats the good thing about BB. No matter how false someone is they cant keep it up for the time required to win the show so normally the only half decent genuine person wins.
GLOWlad you are talking about Rachel I believe. I thought that Kat is the favorite to win. Darnell is funny the way he was swayed during the spitting incident made me laugh. Anyway obviously Channel 4 need more nudity on the show bercause...
Three new female contestants will enter the Big Brother house later, according to a spokeswoman for Channel 4's show.
The incoming candidates will be "a sexy executive PA, a theatre director in her 40s and a model who has appeared in a Lynx advert".
The trio will be unveiled in a special programme after either Jennifer Clark or Rex Newmark is voted out.
The new additions follow the producers' decision to throw out Alexandra De Gale and dance teacher Dennis McHugh.
McHugh was removed from the house last week after spitting in fellow housemate Mohamed's face during a row.
De Gale was booted off the show a week earlier after allegedly threatening housemates with punishment from "gangster friends".
Part-time model Clark is the favourite to be evicted tonight.
Appeared in a Lynx Advert so she's one of about 1000 actresses then....
What does anybody think of the new housemates? On first appearances Sara seems to be a bit manipulative and the kind of girl who would use her (admittedly good) looks to get her own way with the boys. Maysoon seems ok, maybe a bit full of herself, and Belinda Belinda Belinda is going to be a pain in the you-know-what I think! I think she will be nominated as soon as possible by the likes of Rex, Darnell and the rest of the B-Block boys!
On the Luke issue, I think he's hilarious and him bitching is all part of it. I can see him being there at the end and maybe even standing an outside chance of winning. Its hard to predict who will last the whole series, cos people like Kat, Darnell, Rachel, Lisa, Dale, Luke etc just aren't getting nominated therefore can't be evicted. Its going to be interesting!
On a final note (NymVette and MiB!) I haven't and never will be posting in the Anime or MMA threads, and d'ya know why? Cos I don't watch Anime or MMA!
This weeks nominations are in and it's Mario Vs. Rebecca. Too close to call but I think Mario may go if Bex gets it on with Luke.
It's Mario vs Rebecca...
This evening, the housemates were told who was up for nomination this week -- and certain people weren't too happy with the results.
"The housemates nominated for eviction this week are," boomed Big Brother, "in no particular order..."
"...Rebecca."
Rebecca nodded grimly, then smiled, covering her face with her hand. Luke looked stony.
"And," added Big Brother, "Mario."
Mario kissed Lisa, as Mohamed looked shocked.
"And?" Luke asked, wondering if there would be any more nominees. But Big Brother stayed silent. "That's it," Bex replied, looking resigned. So: will Bex or Mario be saying toodle-oo on Friday? It's up to you!
Well after last week Mario going one of the newbies Belinda (Belinda, Belinda), went last night. Im loving the Heaven and Hell thing I just hope that neither Bex or Luke get the job this week. Please be Rex... or Mo
Tonight is a big test for BB producers, I read on Digital Spy that Luke and Mikey had a major bitching session about poor Kat. By rights this should make tonights highlights show, but increasingly Luke seems to be getting favourable edits. Despite him being one of the biggest backstabers in BB history, and his tedious relationship with Bex, I can see him having a great shot at winning. Grace didnt bitch half as much as him and she was practically lynched the other year.
This nomination twist is such a blatant attempt to keep Luke, the producers chosen one, on the show, Im furious.
Its a clear example of what has gone wrong with the show. When BB started the concept was simple, live coverage from the house, highlights shows putting together the days most significant events, the housemates nominate each other we vote them out. Then twists were introduced, well I could put up with that as long it was just an attempt to add some drama to the show. But then it crossed the line...the BB producers started introducing twists to keep their own fave housemates in, and push the one's they didnt like out. They started editing the show to reinforce this, to protect the stars of the show. Luke has been an example of that this year...so often Ive seen reports of dreadful things Luke has said, then watched the highlights show, to find them nowhere to be seen. Then, when Bex was up we got wall to wall coverage of their 'romance in a desperate attempt to save her. Now Luke gets nominated, seems likely to go...then they throw in another 7 housemates to try and protect him. If its vote to evict, Luke may still go, but if they make it vote to save, as they cynically may, he will be safe.
Its utterly annoying, and til Luke goes Im not watching.
Well GLOWlad looks like you'll be watching again as Luke has gone. Interesting to see Rex's GF go in. As Davina said he didn't look best pleased. I have a weird feeling we are looking at a Rex Rachel final.
Kat's eviction, and the level of booing she recieved, showed why the show has gone downhill in recent years. The hideous Chav culture has taken over Britain, nice people like Kat get treated like rubbish by booing, sadistic morons.
The show has gone "downhill"? It was never up the hill in the first place!!
And it was always a show for dumb chavs and morons - who else would worship the likes of Jade goody as a genuine celeb?
Seriously people, for your own sanity and self respect abandon watching this bottom of the barrel exploitation freak show and utilise your time in a more productive and worthwhile way. You'll be better off for it, trust me.
Mohamed and Kathreya were both evicted on the same night
Toy demonstrator Mohamed Mohamed and Thai massage therapist Kathreya Kasisopa were evicted from Big Brother in a surprise midweek double eviction.
Three days from the finale of the series, the two housemates least popular in a public vote were evicted with no prior notice.
Mohamed and Kathreya both got a mixed reception from the crowd outside the house as they left half-an-hour apart.
Mikey Hughes has been tipped to win the series, which finishes on Friday.
Mohamed was dubbed Greedy Mo by fellow housemates for his appetite. But he defended his constant eating, saying: "If there's food left over I will eat it, because there's other people in the world who are starving."
Kathreya, the self-styled Cookie Monster who both entertained and annoyed her housemates with her "Happy House" singalongs, burst into tears as she was told the news that she had to leave the house immediately.
But when she was interviewed by show host Davina McCall in the studio, she said: "I'm extremely happy. I think I'm like English Marmite, sometimes you love me and sometimes you hate me.
"I might be a bit annoying but I would rather by happy than be miserable."
The 30-year-old, who struggled to understand some English expressions during her time on the show, was presented with a giant cookie adorned with the word that became her Diary Room catchphrase - "Hirarious".
She said she now wanted her closest friend in the house - trainee teacher Rachel Rice - to be the winner. Mohamed opted for lovelorn music fan Darnell Swallow.
Tuesday's eviction was based on public votes for who should win the series. Mohamed and Kathreya received the least support.
After the double eviction, five contestants remain in the house competing for the £100,000 prize.
Since the ratings have been down for this series and the finale drew its lowest number yet, there is finally talk of ending this embarrassing pimple on the arse of entertainment.
