Im sure Vince has other ideas for WM25, and lets not forget Summerslam is the Es second biggest PPV of the year so having Batista vs Cena now is not to bad.It might be a pretty good match and theres still some other matches the E can provide for WM24 (Taker vs Cena,Shawn Micheals vs Edge,Triple H vs CM Punk ect).The card has a mix of cool sounding matches to awful ones.I like the sound of the mixed tag for the titles but Khali vs HHH and Hardy vs Henry dont appeal in the slightest.

I however don't like the sound of CM Punk Vs. JBL though.... I seriously hope Punks not going to be dropping the title here.

You can add Jeff Hardy Vs. MVP now too... Can't see it living up to the series that Matt and MVP had mind, but still should be good...

Not alot of chat on WWEs 2nd biggest PPV, anyway thought i'd throw in some predictions

Hell In A Cell Match
Edge vs. Undertaker - Cos i think so

WWE Championship Match
Triple H (c) vs. The Great Khali - HHH wont lose to this oaf

World Heavyweight Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs. JBL - I reckon he'll sneak another win.  Although Can see JBL winning also

ECW Championship Match
Mark Henry (c) vs. Matt Hardy - Cos i dont like Henry

John Cena vs. Batista - Something must happen in this match but think Cena may win

Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Jeff Hardy - Cos

Winners Take All Tag Team IC & Womens Championship Matchc
Kofi Kingston (c) & Mickie James (c) vs. Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix - There must be some reason for putting them together

Hell In A Cell Match
Edge vs. Undertaker (Taker to crush Edge)

WWE Championship Match
Triple H (c) vs. The Great Khali (easy win for triple H)

World Heavyweight Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs. JBL (clothesline from hell and clean pin)

ECW Championship Match
Mark Henry (c) vs. Matt Hardy (cant see hard winning it just yet)

John Cena vs. Batista Double DQ (something will happen here

Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Jeff Hardy  (sadly hardy to win here)

Winners Take All Tag Team IC & Womens Championship Matchc
Kofi Kingston (c) & Mickie James (c) vs. Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix (can see the titles changing here)

Shawn Michaels announcement on his future.

my prediction for summerslam are

Jeff to beat MVP though Montel needs the win a lot more than Jeff i doubt WWE will be smart enough to see that

Mickie and Kofi to beat Santino and Beth..Santino is too comedy for another title reign and it's too soon for beth to get the belt back

MArk Henry to beat MAtt Hardy because there is no justice in wrestling, nor common sense

Tripper to beat Khali just so he can say he did, no other reason for this poorly promoted non event of a world title match

Cena to beat Batista though i'm not sure about this...could be the match of the night you know if they play to their strengths

Punk to beat JBL..can't see the belt back on bradshaw

Edge to beat Taker...yeah, i know but if i'm right i reap major kudos for seeing it coming

-Jeff Hardy was said to have suffered a broken neck on Tuesday night when missing an appearance at Best Buy yesterday in Rockford. He also wasn't on last night's house show as advertised but nothing was said about him not being there at the show. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase replaced him at Best Buy.

What we've been told is that on Tuesday, there was no indication of Hardy suffering a serious injury in his match with Shelton Benjamin, but he came to TV with fluid in his elbow that wouldn't drain well, so as best we can tell, that was the legit injury.

He was pulled from the weekend house shows but it still scheduled to face MVP as best we can tell tomorrow at SummerSlam (thanks to Joseph Greget and others)


Neck/elbow - easily confused....

4/7 for me.

Good PPV, easily one of the WWE's best for this year.

Most of the matches were well worked and laid out with the last two (Cena vs DAVE and HITC) being the best. The biggest let down was Henry vs Hardy which only lasted 30 seconds. What is the point of bringing them (and the ECW announcers) allthe way to the PPV for that? And to add insult to injury they are having the rematch on ECW this week on free TV!?!

No. They delivered a good match and that has been universally agreed upon. Neither are particular favourites of mine but they can deliver when they have to and last night they did.

Objectivity isn't that hard to display every once in awhile you know... wink.gif

i agree that cena and Batista did the best piece of work but kudos to edge and undertaker for their epic hell in the cell gimmick fest. What a way to end the feud.

Sadly though, i was left kind of cold by the rest of the show. It felt very very ordinary to me and SummerSlam shouldn't be ordinary, it should feel like a supershow rather than just another pay per view.

Matt Hardy and Mark Henry was an insult to anyone who paid to see the show as was Triple H's ego trip with the great khali.
Note to triple h: If you sold as well as cena and undertaker did for khali you might have made the crowd believe for a second that he had a chance.
JBL did alright with Punk but this really didn't stand out as a world title match should.
Shawn and Jericho did fantastic business with their confrontation and Shawn did exactly what the reluctant hero should do in tending to his wife rather than pursuing the heel.
that was great work but the rest was very ordinary.
