Well, this seems to be gathering a bit of steam so we better blow it upinto it's own thread now.

As previously mentioned it looks like Johnny Depp is going to be Tonto and now The Lone Ranger has signed and is to be none other than George Clooney.  Could be good could be crap who knows?  Well add your opinion in this thread and we'll see...

George clooney as the lone ranger and Tonto is Johnny Depp? Forgive me if im wrong but wasent Tonto Indian? And Clooney sucks at this kind of role.Horrible casting.I remember the Lone ranger as my Grandad loved the show and watched it all the time and neither depp or Clooney to me,suit the parts at all.

Agreed they are odd choices.

Clooney may surprise us actually but for the moment I'm not totally convinced. Depp on the other hand is something of a chameleon so he could pull it off.

It can't be any worse than Tom Cruise trying (and failing) to be German can it?

Depp could do it. Clooney probably wont. He's too old anyway! And Totty, if we're going to be totally PC he was a Native American...
