A pretty dull match with chelsea and us the other night. Im sure when it comes to the cup final itll be a whole lot better. Well its West ham or Wigan to go down this weekend, i believe it only needs a draw and west ham stay up. Im not sure what to do, id love united to win but as i mentioned before my grandma has been a die hard hammers fan since the late 40s and i wouldnt like to see them relegated. Im sure they will stay up but id like united to win of course.

Hopefully the cup final will be a big specticle to live up to the hype. Plus its at the new Wembley so hopefully it will be great.

Good luck to West Ham today!

Well who would have guessed that?

West Ham beat Man U and Wigan beat Sheffield.

Sheffield seemed to be the team in the best position at the start of the day.

I am so happy West Ham survived.

So Wigan Man City are managerless currently and (Well Wigan have appointed the assistant manager I wonder how long that will last.) Newcastle Have Big Sam now and Neil Warnock wants to manage a Premiership club. Oh and FIFA are now investigating the Tevez affair. Phew and thats like 2 days after the premier season finished...

Not sure if this is the right place, but what a shocker about Henry? 16Mill surely he's worth at least 20? And if he did got hat chaep then Barca have got a bargain. Who they going to get to replace him? I read Tevez has said he would like to be Henry's replacement at Arsenal.

Well people today's the day, the new season starts so anyone predictions for this season, and comments andstuff?

I reckon the top 3 will be:

Chelsea
Arsenal
Man Utd.

in that order.. don't ask me why and yes I know Arsenal are a complete long shot to even make top 3 this season, but without Henry they will be galvanised and that new striker thye have along with Van Persie and Wallcott are an intresting proposition...

Cant see that myself dark m (espicially my team united being third!),I think itll be a close one but i think we will retain the title,Liverpool will be right up there but arsenal..who knows. Its great to have the premiership back an if i miss anything from england, its the footie, the j league is fun but the quality isnt of the premierships standards.

Cant wait to see how Tevez, nani, Anderson and Hargreaves turn out for us, nani has been impressive pre season while anderson looked a bit sluggish but showed touches of his potential. Its going to be a great season,Derby will probably be the surprise of the year i think, and i can see Wigan going down for sure this year.I just hope we will do better in europe!

Its surreal to see the City squad now, suddenly packed with crowd pleasing talent. City being City, we'll probably be stuffed by Derby County.

Not to menton the Root of all evil XI aka Man United.

But we could be a real cup side, and who knows I might see City win a proper trophy for the first time in my life. Well the League Cup anyway!

Guess not many footie fans on here Dark M! Another 1-0 win for us at united, not firing yet but getting the wins which is important. That Pompy/Reading match sounds bizaar, will also be watching it tonigh! At the moment Arsenal are looking awesome while Man City are going places under Sven who in my opinion has always been a top class manager.Champions league next week i believe, cant wait, havent seen any of the CL since i came back.

See people forget about Sven's credentials as a club manager. It's effectively what got him the England job. With the way he has that team performing I wouldn't be surprised if they got a top 4 finish this season. Chelsea are almost already out of it. If I didn't know any better I would say Drogba deliberately got himself sent off. How long before Marco Van Basten is installed then? Or will it be Hiddink as soon as Russia are out of Euro 08?

Sven in my mind overachieved with the england Job.Quite frankly, our team was never any good and our players are all overrated beyond belief (and i include Rooney in that),he did a great job with the team, and all you have to do is look at Steve Mclarens horrible reign so far to see how well he really did do with them.Sven is going to be a great boss for Man city.
Chelsea are struggling,if they dont get a top class manager in soon, they will have no chance at the title.I think Van Basten will be the one to manage chelsea next, i cant see Gus taking over there.

Sven was a good England manager the results spoke for themselves. Its a shame for us that he failed when it really matter but i blame most of the "big" stars for that. Lampard, Gerrard these all fail to perform also.

Anyway Man City will do better than people ecpect and thats coming from a United fan!!

Man city are doing great and im not surprised at all because Sven is a top class coach.United are slowley improving and cant wait to see us at our full best, Tevez was sensational against Wigan and Anderson shown some tremendous skill and his passing range in the same game.Arsenal are the team i fear the most this year, they look fantastic.

I've just applied for a job at the Emeriates... If i get in the free tickets are on me....

I think Man City are gonna be top 4 this season. Arsenal have already look like they have the league sown up barring injuries. Dare I say it, but selling Henry was the best move they have made in a while.

Arsenal - if they dont get injuries will be up there. But if Van Persie or Cesc get injured then i think they will struggle to be honest Cesc as been amazing. And DM - ill trade you a free ticket for free food!!

I'm not a fan of any premership team I support bristol city! been a fun season so far in the prem tho, some weird results, liverpool have been disappointing given they started sooo well. arsenal have been very impressive on the other hand but like carlito said if they get a couple of injuries they will fall away. cesc is a key player for them this season. Man utd been a bit unlucky with injuries, i know they didnt have some good results but they dominated those games but just couldnt find the net, the manchester derby a good example.

I myself am a Palace fan and the best news I have heard this week was shortly folowed up by some of the worst. They remove Taylor only to put Kit Symonds in temporary charge....

I have a lot of respect for lower league clubs which i know i should support my local team but living in Ramsgate..well here there isnt a decent side at all..:(.Iv been a united fan since i was 8 years old and iv been to old trafford twice which has been a great experiance, nothing like watching our teams live in person i think. But indeed we have been unlucky with injuries this year, still we are getting the points which is important.Im looking forwad to us oing against the gunners in november, it should be a fantastic game.So far its been quite a good season in the premiership.Really enjoying the football at the moment.

To be fair tho DM its been a joke at Palace for a while. Taylor is a very good manager and was underestimated there. As for Symonds - this is a joke!

Sadly it looks like we are geting Warnock as long term replacement. i'd prefer Paul Jewell, but what decent manager would take a job with Jordan at the helm? Although rumours persist that jordan will sell up for £45 Mill. Suppose I better start saving.

England Internationals coming up soon, quite surprised Robert Green hasent had a call up as he has been excellent for the hammers yet Steve is sticking with the out of sorts Paul Robinson who recently has been awful and a lot of tottenhams goals conceded is due to his mistakes.Im sure England will win comfertably this saturday but the Russia game will be far more difficult, and thats when we need all our players to be at their very best.

I doubt Russia will roll over like they did last time, they are a far better side then their last performance against england suggested.England can get a result there if they play at their best but its going to be tough.Should be a relatively easy game on Saturday but you never know these days in football!

International matches are really poor these days. England yet again fail against decent opposition and i doubt we will make it to the Euros.Never mind though, Club football is far more exciting and the premiership is back this weekend thank god! Aston Villa for us, a good side with a good manager, will be tough but im sure we will pick up the usual 3 points against them. Hopefully we will get to see more of Anderson who looked great in the last game for Utd. Tevez is starting to look the top class player fergie fought hard to sign and Rooney and Ronaldo hopefully are coming back to their best form.

England just aren't as good as they think they are. I nearly laughed when Gerrard claimed we had a right to be there.

Also, with Van Persie out will that knacker Arsenals run???

(On a side note Ive joined a new Xpert Eleven league a premiership one, and Ive got saddled with Spurs!!!)

Im in a daze after City's start to the season, of course it wont last, but if we were in the top 4 or 5 come christmas we would have the money to add a couple of players and sustain the challenge.

Elano is amazing.

I think this run will hold up Glowlad, Sven is a world class club manager, his record speaks for itself and its no surprise how well he is doing with Man City.Fantastic for them.
Great result for United last night though we conceded a couple of poor goals but Anderson was phenomoninal, cant wait to see the best of him.

Shocking after two seasons of finishing 5th they sack Jol! If you ask me they should take a closer look at the board and the players namely one Berbatov. Can't see Jol being out of work for long. If only Palace had held on for a few more weeks...

I see Ericsson wants SWP back at City. Would be a very good move for him at the mo I reckon.

Typical City, 5 live had extensive previews of todays match, interviewed numerous confident City fans. But history dictates that at the moment it looks like City have changed for good...its all goes horribly wrong. Im used to it by now! How we respond now will be the true test.

Id love to see SWP back.

Hard defeat for Man City, most man utd fanswill probably be delighted by it but i like Man City and i really respect Sven, it was a bad result but every manager has those so hopefully noone starts saying the usual Sack the manager rubbish.United were fantastic again though! Another 4 goals and with Arsenal coming up we needed to get back to form, rooney and Tevez look sensational and getting better and better, cant wait for the next game against the gunners!

haha no thanks Glowlad ^^ but seriously, i just dont understand why people get so angry or violent and start insulting others just because of who they support and such, its just footie! You know iv been to a J league game with the Uwara reds and a rival team (i forget now as this was in 2005) and i believe they were big rivals to each other, yet after the match which Uwara easily won, the opposition fans would walk up and congratulate and celebrate with the opposition fans! Now being this is england, would that happen? nope ^^!

Today Liverpool vs Arsenal, should be intresting. I dont know who i want to win, ideally
a draw would be quite ok but Liverpool are our biggest rivals and i like the way Arsenal play football..No idea really but if arsenal lose itll do us a favour!

Its shaping up to be an exciting title race this season, Arsenal, United, Chelsea and Liverpool all could still win it but at the moment the gunners are looking very strong. United blew it big time by losing to west ham yesterday but can still catch up, but we werent good against everton so we have to find form soon. The relegation battle looks exciting as well, and the battle for europe with Man City, Everton, Blackburn and villa fighting it out so its quite a good season so far.

Yay! West Ham 2 Man U 1.

Man U after going 1 - 0 in the lead they miss a penalty and then lose to what was described by Alex Ferguson himself as the better team.

So that is every the last 3 games between West Ham and Man U, West Ham have won them all, not even a draw in there.

Well to be fair dark m, its his firs game in charge! Its going to take a long time for them to get close to the teams he had before. A lot of the newcastle players are not good enough or past their best now, I never rated Duff so i wouldnt be surprised if hes let go because he was simply awful again and Owen just doesnt seem to care about the Toon.
