Was due to have a viewing around a lovely flat tommorow, for me and my girlfriend to move into short-term while we look for a house to buy. I had a call from the estate agents today to cancel my appointment as they've just accepted an application from another couple, so we miss out on a flat that would have been perfect for us! Boo!
bad luck doc :(.Well i bought a cheap replacement PS2 for my old one which broke a few weeks back on ebay and it was posted on thursday last week. One week later and i still havent got it even though we paid by pay pal...I hope the post service here havent meddled around with stuff again..
Had a phone call from Nationwide yesterday. Apparently someone had tried (and failed) to use my bank details on-line in i-tunes, so they have had to cancel my card and issue me another one, which could take 5-7 working days, which buggers up trying to set up direct debits for my bills for my new flat!
I suppose its good, cos it proves that my building society is checking up on things like this to protect my money, but it's still a bit of a pain in the you-know-what!
@Doc, as you said at least they are checking, better to have a little inconvience rather than a whole load of money stolen.
My rant seems pretty small but it is annoying, Since last night I keep getting this random shooting sharp pain in my right ankle? The is no constant pain and I can put pressure on the ankle and walk and run on it ok, but at random times I get the sharp shooting pain that not only hurts but is also very annoying.
Bloody Megabus, I accidentally ordered my Ticket to London twice, so now I have 2 return bookings. Which is annoying because I went with them because they were cheaper than the competition, so like instead of it being £13.70 it's now £27 odd quid.
No joy with phoning their customer service line, it must be because it's Easter Sunday and all but it's a bloody pain in the bum.
Is it any wonder why I shun internet purchaces and shop the old fashioned way. so much of a headache.
My parents insist on leaving the heating on in this house but its a warm day so its really really stuffy here, and my cockatiels have now laid 5 eggs, so we will no doubt have a few baby cockatiels soon, itll be lovely to have them but i think we wont be able to cope as none of us are bird experts! Might have to take them to a bird sanctuary or a place that would be better for them..though i dont want to lose them :(.
I just a card through my door from the Royal Mail saying they couldn't deliver my parcel (presumably DVDs from the US) because there is a £13.35 custom charge to pay!!
This is the second time in 10 years I have been stung by the Customs but £13!!!
Grr...13 days and i still havent got my dvds i ordered yet. Thanks to the postal service around here and switching the postman we usually have to a new place,we now have a guy who has no idea where he is going and he delivered to our house a good 3 times in one day our mail.Getting a little worried about it..And i think my Cockatiels laid eggs because they have been up to the naughty stuff Lava ;)...we now have 6 eggs and counting..
Still havent got my dvds.I usually get my dvds by airmail in 6-7 days from sensasia. Its now 14 days and counting.Either someone at the postal office is messing with my stuff or its delayed a little but its been sent for sure..Where the hell are they? :(...
Arggh!! They've done a last minute switch on the Iron Man screening and Press conference /Junket to tomorrow instead of Monday and as it's such short notice I can't go. Absolutely gutted, even more than missing out on Jessica.
Usally they list the delivery date as 10-21 days, its been 14 days now.But iv ordered about 9 dvds from there before with the same method as these dvds and they came in 6 to 7 days everytime so im a bit concerned about it.I guess ill have to wait and see for tomorrow. But ill be off this Friday so ill have to see them when i come back..if they get to my house ^-^.BTW Dark M, any news on the Manga books? still not able to send? If you havent then i think its better to give the job to someone else since ill be away almost 2 months from friday morning so it looks like we have ran out of time for it :(.I dont want you to send them only to find i wont be able to review them for a long time so i thought id better let you know now about that.
Well, they put estimated delivery times to cover their backs and to allow for any problems, public holidays, etc. The fact they've usually been more efficient is just a bonus but sometimes you just have to expectto wait the full length of time.
Tch - I've got a hearing test on Monday at 12.30pm so what day to the Job Centre book my interview with them for? Yup - Monday at 10.00am!! And I was going to stay up for Backlash too....
It's like my best friend who is engaged is hitting on this girl that I'm really digging on and like she's saying one thing and he's thelling me another thing and it's totally confusing and it's fucked up.
I don't know why it is but over the past few days my Firefox decides to slow down around 5.00pm every day significantly reducing my web browsing abilities. It only started last Friday and has carried on through the weekend yet after a reboot the next morning, all is fine.
I've done all kinds of scans, virus and spyware checks and while a couple of trojans have been detected and removed it still continues. I'm just waiting to see if it happens again today.
Turns out the problem must have been due to a Phishing website through IE. As I don't use that browser I found a setting to block phising sites. Since then no slow downs on Firefox.
It's weird Firefox is meant to be less opened up to those kind of things I thought. I've had the same issue and have corrected it with your solution. SO thanks twice seems to be in order..
support the truckers who are starting the fuel duty cut campaign - petrol is tooooo expensive im now paying £1.10,9 some thing MUST be done. or i will have to cycle to work or risk my sanity on the bus.
Tried to buy Dreamgirls 2 disc on Blu Ray at a bargain price of £12.99 from Gamestation today only to get it to the till and find out they only could find disc 1. Then the muppet behind the counter asked me if I still wanted to buy it!! D'oh!
Just read on the news that the Government have released the figures on UK petrol prices. The actual amount of the price that is made up of tax is 58%! I knew it would be a lot but I didn't realise it was that much.
Without that tax and VAT we'd have the lowest prices in Europe for Diesel and the third lowest for unleaded. 58% is just disgraceful and completely unjustifiable.
They keep saying that they cost of oil has gone up by so many dollars but since we buy in pounds, the exchange rate currently being about $2 to £1, that should mean we get a good price. Instead it seems that Brown and the UK oil companies are paying the US price in pounds, taxing the public to get the difference back and keeping it for themselves.
Well my time in japan comes to an end for the 4th time as ill be soon in England come Sunday afternoon.Ill miss here and my gf, my friends deeply but iv already sceduled another trip in november to here or korea so fingers crossed! Im trying to work and such so hopefully i can find a small job in england if i can get over some personal demons. But man im going to miss here..The wonderful people, the beautiful girls, the great food, the fantastic tv and entertainment,Joshi Shows ect ect...Everything!
Another reason im in a bad mood is i still havent recieved a dvd in the UK i ordered may 16th.The release date was may 21st and it says it takes 7-10 days in stock but its been way more then that, i wrote senseasian dvd and they said its backlogged still but i hope it comes soon..
So I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and still it runs slow. The problem? Well it seems to be related to Windows. When explorer locks up and has to forces shut down, Firefox runs fine. But I have to wait for explorer to lock up...
Its a site from malaysia braxious. It does have a refund policy though when i asked about the DVD set it says its still back logged, but its been a good month since i ordered it and 3 weeks since its release in that part so im a little concerned, probably will write them another message about it tomorrow.
By "backlogged" do you mean that they are out of stock or they haven't got round to sending it out yet? Sometimes release dates get moved around which screws suppliers and retailers around.
I once pre-ordered a DVD from BlahDVD.com (UK site) that was due for release before Xmas 2005 and it didn't get released until June 2006!
Well the date of the dvds release was May 21st i think.Usually i get my dvds from the same site in a week or two.According to what they said to me in a previous mail, they havent had a delivary of the dvds yet so i have no idea..I really hope it gets sorted out soon because i am desperate to see the set.Hopefully i wont have to wait to much longer.
Still havent got the set i ordered.Despite it being sent out in late May.Having bought a few more since then ill hope theyll make it soon.Sensasian dvd is usually very good with their delivering times but the last few months it seems they are posting items far later then usual.Grrr..Heres hoping this week ill get some of them.
Yep i asked them Mib.3 times, and they said itll be here soon and another said itll be shipped the next day.It never did..I dont mind waiting but its a little comfusing as the site says its in stock, and then they say its shipped, then they say its not in stock ect ect..Just annoying.
Bit miffed at the moment. Saw an ad in the News Shopper for a mob called Skills Train doing Web Design courses and it looked good and I thought it would shut them up at the Job Centre.
However they had little info on the web site - including the costs. So I requested more info through the site but instead of getting an e-mail or something through the post, I got a phone call and stupidly agreed to the local rep to come tomorrow for a chat.
I've just had a look around the web about them and this mob have a seriously bad reputation with overwhelming negative feedback for their poor and outdated course materials, lack of communication with and for seemingly being pricey to boot.
Unfortunately when I tried to ring them to cancel the appointment there was no answer, so I'll have to try again tomorrow and have a plausible excuse ready.
Just phone up and say that you are a solicitor in charge of your estate and that you have sadly passed away. You (the solicitor) are going through the process of canceling your (you) appointments. The cant really argue with that one!
