Thoughd id share a couple more pics from me ^-^, Here is a couple of pics from Yokohama stadium where the World cup final 0f 2002 was held, i am in the actual room of the brazillian football team, holding the one and only Ronaldhinos shirt! I also touched Ronaldos, Cafus, Didas and saw the actual board where they planned the team talks, i also met with some japanese fans who met them and we jogged out onto the field to the music, unbelievable experiance.The other photo is me with my friend Chika, i had another of her pic but lost but she is very kawaii isnt she,we were outside tokyo towers.Will share more when i find, but Japan is an unbelivable place so i recommend to everyone to go at least once smile.gif,cant wait to go back hehe ^^.

Yeah man, we're a power Trio atm but not for long hopefully.

Our drummer lives in Tidworth atm, so he's got a big room with his drums in. we tend to send the strings music to him via ****ty recordings atm.

To be honest though it's mostly about Myself and my drummer Anton synergizing everything Via phone and E-mail.

We've not been together so long and I'm teaching Gully how to play bass so I've gotta write the bass lines, the guitar lines and the lyrics atm. I'm currantly looking for new members to join but I've not met anyone that fits the profile yet :(

I might post my lyrics just to see what people think of them, I dunno if I will but some of the stuff I came up with is so unlike me.

Your bass player is still learning to play bass? That's a drag because many many years ago when I was in a band I was still taking guitar lessons. Trying to learn two different things at the same time was difficult plus I wasn't too good whch lead me to leave (despite having "written" two songs for the band - which never took off anyway.

I imagine though that with the bass there is less "technique" per se to learn and thus your friend can learn from the bass lines you give him. Trying to learn scales, chords, solo techniques, picking styles, etc. for lead/rhythm guitar while trying to learn and write songs is a different kettle of fish.

lol, it is difficult at times but it's a labour of love. I mean like with Guitar I've bene playing for like 3 years so it's like second nature to me.

With the bass thing usually it's root notes or harmonized lines, I've not gone much past that atm but I'm encouraging him to go crazy and bring ideas to the table.
But I've shocked myself when it comes to my song writing, I've never considered myself a wordsmith (as I'm sure a vast majority of this forum would agree with me lol) But I've really shocked myself, it turns out I have more to say than I thought. I tend to come up with an initial consept then it kinda flows out.

That's the best way to write lyrics - come up with an idea and just let the words flow from that kernel of an idea. That said, I was a lousy lyric writer until I adapted some of my feeble attempts into poetry which worked better for me. For some people it works the other way around.

Do you write the music or the lyrics first?

It depends really, I might have a kick ass consept in my mind and then hear a random melody and start to write around that.

Then there are other ocasions where I'll make a riff and really feel the need to mold something around it.

But like I've said before. I draw insperation from everything and anything.

 Lol because i was driving and had work the next morning. I cant just have one cider i have to have several, whereas by drinking guiness its easy to stop after one! plus the cider i usually drink 1 pint puts you three times over the drinking limit.
